<br />. . <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />Page three - Council Meeting - March ii, 1968 - continued <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />Soil Boring Report <br />Engineer Lund briefly discussed the Soil Boring Report completed <br />by the Soil Exploration Company and reviewed the need for this <br />type of report to permit proper design for the elevated tank. <br /> <br />Northwestern Bell Telephone Request for Burled Cable <br />Councilman Crepeau moved that the Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. <br />request be granted to bury cable between Cleveland Avenue and Highway <br />35W at 14th Street North. Seconded by Councilman Hollenhorst, carried. <br /> <br />Signs and Devices for Interstate Highway 35W <br />Councilman Crepeau moved approval of the attached re~olutlon for <br />State Highway plans for traffic signs and devices on Interstate <br />Highway 35W. Seconded by Councilman Hollenhorst, carried. <br /> <br />Resurfacing of Highway 10 and Highway 96 <br />Councilman Crepeau moved approval of the attached resolution for <br />resurfacing Highway 10, and requested the Highway Department to report <br />on requested construction of left turn Banes along the westbound lane <br />of Highway 10 at the cross-overs to the Big Ten Supper Club and <br />Mobile Home Park. Seconded by Councilman Hollenhorst, carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Crepeau moved approval of the attached resolution for <br />resurfacing Highway 96 and the Highway Department report on requested <br />construction of a cross-over between east and west bound lanes direct- <br />ly opposite the entrance to the Village Hall Parking Lot, and on <br />construction of a left turn lane on the west bound roadway plus a <br />right turn lane on east bound roadway at the entrance to the parking <br />lot. Seconded by Councilman Hollenhorst~ carried. <br /> <br />The Council directed Administrative Clerk Stromquist to request the <br />Highway Department to expedite Improved lighting and semaphores <br />at the Intersection of HIghways 10 and 96. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN HOLLENHORST <br /> <br />Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances <br />Councilman Hollenhorst moved that the Administrative Clerk Stromquist <br />be authorized to sell copies of the Zoning and Subdivision ordinances <br />for SI.50 each; seconded by Councilman Olmen, carried. <br /> <br />Ramsey County League Board Meeting <br />Councilman Hollenhorst reported on the Board of Directors meeting of <br />March 6, 1968. The principle Item of discussion concerned the Parks <br />and Recreation Subcommittee. <br /> <br />Mr. Ken Boss should be advised of Arden Hills Parks and Recreation <br />Items to be correlated with County plans. <br /> <br />Municipal Planning Act <br />Councilman Hollenhorst stated that the Municipal Planning Act requires <br />all Arden Hills Capital Improvements to be referred to the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN H. CREPEAU <br /> <br />Councilman Crepeau reported that two residents had called to compli- <br />ment the Pollee Department on their efficient and courteous service. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN OLMEN <br /> <br />The Council was advised that by March 15, 1966, all Village roads <br />will be posted with 3-ton per axle load limits. <br /> <br />ftEPORT OF COUNCILMAN HENDERSON <br /> <br />The next me.etlng of the Finance Committee will be March 21, 1968. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
