The meeting was attended <br />by Mr. Gerald McCauley, Pedestrian Trail Committee Chairman; Mr. Hunce <br />Lagerstrom, Parks and Recreation Committee Chairman; as well as repre- <br />sentation by the Village Council and Pollee Department. <br /> <br />Because of a complaint of snowmobiles on the trail, Clerk Stromquist <br />was requested to order a sign prohibiting motorized vehicles on the <br />trail - the sign is to be located In the vicinity of the Keith Boyer <br />residence, 1880 West County Road E. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK LORRAINE STROMQUIST <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />LI censes - 1968 <br /> <br />SIQns - matter tabled until report received from Attorney <br />Courtney clarifying one type of sign which owner believes <br />to be permitted without a license, under the ordlnanc~. <br /> <br />DOQ Licenses - About 83 dog licenses have not been renewed for <br />1968. Clerk's office has phoned all residents who <br />licensed dogs In 1967 but have not licensed them In 1968. <br />Some of those called no longer have dogs, many renewed <br />their licenses after the phone reminder, some were not <br />available on the first call. Clerk was reqyested to <br />continue this procedure for the next two weeks and report <br />to Council at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Business Places - All Business Places are licensed for 1968. <br /> <br />Sewer Connection Time Extension <br />Arden Lumber Mart would like to connect to water and sewer at the <br />same time and request they be granted a time extension until May 15, <br />1968 to complete these connections. <br /> <br />Councilman J. Hollenhorst moved that Arden Lumber Mart be granted this <br />extension of time, until May 15, 1968, to connect to the sewer; <br />seconded by Councilman S. Olmen; motlon carried. <br /> <br />Bethel Colleae Sewer CharQes <br />Bethel College reports they were billed for sewer rental for the <br />months of May and June In the amount of $231.44 (2 month charge), but <br />the bulldl.lgS were not ready for occupancy until late July or August I, <br />1967. They request a refund or credit In the mount of $231.44 for <br />these two months. H. Crepeau moved the two-month charge of $231.44 <br />be abated from Bethel sewer charges; seconded by G. Henderson; motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />License Requests <br />License applications to sell cigarettes and soft drinks at the Standard <br />Service station at County Road E and Highway 51 have been received. <br /> <br />Councilman H. Crepeau moved these licenses be granted; seconded by <br />Councilman Hollenhorst; motion carried. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Penalty CharQes - Water BllllnQ <br />Clerk L. Stromquist advised that the ordinance requIres that a $1.00 <br />penalty charge be added to water bills If payment Is not made by the <br />30th of the month In which billing Is made. (Billing date Is the 5th <br />of the month.) She explained that bills are collectible by levying <br />with the property taxes If not paid quarterly. <br /> <br />Councilman H. Crepeau moved that penalty charges b,e made, as directed <br />by ordinance, for both water and sewer bills; seconded by Councilman <br />J.
