Inc. - licenses <br />It was moved by Councilman Hollenhorst and seconded by Councilman <br />Olmen that the On-Sale, Off-Sale and Sunday liquor Licenses be <br />transferred to McGuire's Enterprises, Inc., from McGuires Inc.; <br />transfers to be retroactive to May II, 1970; all other existing <br />licenses to also be transferred as of May II, 1970. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Public Safety Amended Proposal <br />Attorney Courtney submitted an amended Public Safety Committee <br />Proposal, reframlng the wording to assure that dlsgresslonary <br />duties are not delegated, but retained by the Council. <br /> <br />Copies of the proposal are to be distributed to the Public Safety <br />Committee members and Council members for review. <br /> <br />Phillip Sampson Property <br />Attorney Courtney reviewed his letter of September 8, 1970, which <br />was referred by the Council to the Parks and Recreation Committee <br />for Its consideration and recommendations. <br /> <br />U. S. Easement SS12-5 <br />Attorney Courtney reviewed Attorney lynden's letter of September <br />12, 1970, advising that an easement Is needed by the Village <br />over government property in the Round lake area. He advised <br />that a 50-year grant for maintenance of the sewer, subject to <br />flowage rights, can be obtained. <br /> <br />After It was determined that Banister Engineering Co. has no <br />objection to the Village agreeing to the clause, It was moved <br />by Councilman Herrick and seconded by Councilman Henderson that <br />the easement be approved as described; authorizing the Mayor <br />and Clerk to execute the agreement. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />Cost Estimate for Blacktop Curbing - Tiller lane <br />Engineer lund advised that a cost estimate was prepared for a <br />rolled curb on Tiller lane and was given to the residents for <br />their decision. <br /> <br />Mr. Melvin Koshlol & Mr. W. Haberstroh, residents of the area <br />asked what Is going to be done on the questions presented on the <br />petition which was presented to the Council on August 31, 1970. <br /> <br />Engineer Lund advised that the w~rk has not been completed, an <br />Inspection is scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, and the work <br />will be completed when It Is known the type of curb desired. <br /> <br />Mr. ~~ gave Engineer lund a sample of the bituminous <br />surfacing from In front of his driveway, which he said was layed <br />over wet clay. Because the cost of the ~olled curb was considered <br />high at $2.15 per foot, Mr. Haberstroh advised that the petition <br />was not circulated. <br /> <br />McDonald and Associates, Estimate 15 <br />Engineer Lund presented McDonald and Associates' Estimate No.5, <br />Sanl~ary Sewer Inprovement 12 - 13, in the amount of $76,598.44, <br />for payment. <br /> <br />It was moved <br />be approved; <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />by Councilman Henderson that payment of $76,598.44 <br />seconded by Councilman Hollenhorst; motion carried <br /> <br />, <br />. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
