<br />... <br /> <br />Kinutes of Regular Council Meeting <br /> <br />August 31, 1970 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />EngIneer Lund reviewed a letter from the Ramsey County Land <br />Commissioner, dated August 13, 1970. whIch advises of a tax <br />forfeited lot on Arden Place at Skiles Lane near Snelling Avenue. <br />Mr. Lund stated that the lot is a very difficult building site, <br />in his opinion, because of the severe drop from the street level. <br /> <br />Councilman Herrick was asked to look It over for park purposes. <br /> <br />No Council action was taken. <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer and Municipal Water Service Extension to County Road <br />F and Hamllne Avenue <br />It was moved by Councilman Herrick and seconded by Councilman <br />Henderson that a Public HearIng. as per attached resolutIon. be <br />scheduled on Monday, September 14, 1970 at 8:00 p.m. at the VIllage <br />Hall to consider the feasibility of providIng Sanitary Sewer and <br />Municipal Water to County Road F and Hamllne Avenue. MotIon <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Storm Sewer Meeting - Shorevlew and Arden Hills <br />Engineer Lund advised that he met with Shorevlew's Clerk Administrator <br />and Engineers on August 25. 1970 re draInage to County Ditch '12;. <br />advising that Shorevlew has authorized a study and a report wIll <br />be forthcoming. <br /> <br />REPORT OF TREASURER WORTH G. READ <br /> <br />Regular Monthlv Report <br />Treasurer Read advised the Councl! that HUD Requisitions I and 2 <br />and Ramsey County August tax settlement checks have been deposited <br />In the Village accounts, all of which have been re-Invested. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN JOHN HOLLENHORST - Planning and Zoning <br />(Absent) <br /> <br />Pro osed Additions to the Villa e Hal! and PublIc Works Bulldln <br />Mayor Crepeau announced that, at the request of the Councl, he <br />Planning Commission has scheduled a Public HearIng on Tuesday, <br />September 8, 1970, at 8:00 p.m. at the Village Hall, on the Special <br />Use Permit proposals for addItions to the Village Hall and PublIc <br />Works Building. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCiLMAN RONALD HERRICK - Parks and Recreation & Human <br />RIghts <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation <br />None. <br /> <br />Human Rights <br />CouncIlman HerrIck announced that the Human Rights CommIssion <br />has scheduled a program at the Arden Hills Branch of the Ramsey <br />County Library on September 28, 1970; detal Is of the program wIll <br />be announced at the next Council meetIng. <br /> <br />Ramsev County Water Rates <br />CouncIlman Herrick advIsed that the Ramsey County Water Rates Report <br />has been receIved and copies are available for revIew. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Herrick that $176.80 be sent to the <br />League of Municipalities to cover Arden Hi 115' share of the cost <br />of this study. The motion was seconded by Councilman Henderson <br />and carried unanImously. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN E. GRAY HENDERSON - Finance & MunicIpal Lands <br />and Buildings <br /> <br />. <br />. <br /> <br />Finance Committee <br />Councilman Henderson advIsed that a preliminary study of the 1971 <br />Budget has been made and the Committee compliments the Clerk <br />Administrator on the new foremat which they consider to be excellent. <br /> <br />- 3 - <br />
