Plans for the sewer have not been <br />studIed, but New Brighton Manager and the engineer stated that <br />the nursing home In New BrIghton was recently connected to the <br />Mounds View High School sewer line, and they questioned the <br />capacity for additional connectIons. <br /> <br />The Public Hearing was closed at 10:25 p.m. after determining <br />there were no further comments or questions. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Ronald Herrick that the Resoiut1on, as <br />attached, ordering Sanitary Sewer improvement No. 15 be adopted; <br />seconded by Councilman E. COURTNEY <br />(absent) <br /> <br />McGuire's Liquor Licens~ <br />Mayor Crepeau read a letter from Attorney Courtney, dated August <br />7, 1970, re McGuire's On-sale LIquor LIcense, and suggested the <br />prepared notice be mailed to McGuire's. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Counci Iman Hol lenhorst, seconded by Counci Iman <br />Herrick, that action be started to revoke the On-sale Liquor <br />License held by McGuire's Liquors, Inc., because the third quarter <br />license fee due July I, 1970 is unpaid. A hearing before the <br />Counci I was set for Monday, August 31, 1970 at the Arden Hi lis <br />Vi Ilage Hall at 8:00 p.m. Notice to be mai led by Clerk Administrator. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer improvement No. 15 - Tabulation of Bids <br />Engineer Lund advised the Council that five bids were received. <br />The low bidder was Gideo Construction, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, <br />at $15,932.00, and recommended acceptance of this bid. (Bid <br />tabulation is attached.) <br /> <br />Counci Iman John Hollenhorst moved adoption of the Resolution, as <br />attached, ordering Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 15, awarding ,the <br />contract to Gideo Construction Company; motion seconded by Council- <br />man E. Gray Henderson and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Feas!bi lity of Sewer and Water Extension to County Road F and Hamllne <br />Avenue <br />Engineer Donald Lund described two possible routes for the sewer <br />extension, recommending that the route along County Road F, estlmated <br />at a cost of $16,600.00. He estimated the cost of the water service <br />at $14,880.00 (Total estimated construction cost - $31,480.00; <br />project cost of $35,000.00). <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman John Hoilenhorst that the feasibility <br />report be approved as submitted, as per attached Resolution; <br />seconded by Counci Iman E. Gray Henderson. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist was requested to notify <br />Hage Construction Company that sewer and water wi II be avai lable <br />to the site, and to determine if they desire to proceed with their <br />proposal, before plans and specifications are ordered and date of <br />Public Hearing is scheduled. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Estimate No.5, Northern Contractin~ Compan~ <br />Engineer Lund explained that the project is more than 50% complete, <br />and reduction of retainage to 5% has been requested on payment of <br />Estimate No.5 in the amount of $41,314.86. <br /> <br />,. <br /> <br />-4- <br />
