Gray Henderson and seconded by <br />Councilman Ronald Herrick that Estimate No.4. Water Improvement <br />68-3. in the amount of $64,794.28, to Northern Contracting Company <br />be approved for payment. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />HUD Grant. Water Improvements 68-2 and 68-3 - Second Fund Requisition <br />It was moved by Councilman E. Gray Henderson and seconded by Councilman <br />Ronald Herrick that the Council proceed vith the second requisition <br />for funds in the amount of $89,500.00 al!ocated for Water Improvements <br />68-2 and 68-3 as scheduled. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Sewer Improvements 12 and 13 - Time Extension Requests <br />EngIneer Donald Lund advised the Council of contract completion dates <br />for Projects I and 2. San I tal'y Sewer Improvements 12 and 13. request I ng <br />extension of completion dates because of delays experienced by the <br />contractors due to strikes; stating that all possible work has been <br />completed as scheduled; work is now delayed pending receipt of <br />equipment and materials. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman John Hollenhorst and seconded by Councilman <br />E. Gray Henderson that the contracts for Project 2 and that portion <br />of Project I scheduled for completion by July 15. 1970. Sanlt8J'1' <br />Sewer Improvements 12 and 13. be extended 45 days. to Septemb~r I. <br />1970; contracts to be reviewed again at that tIme. The motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Gray Fox Road - Time Extension Request <br />Engineer Donald Lund advised that the Mlnn-Kota Excavating Company <br />contract expired on October 31. 1969; Bnd extension was granted by <br />the Council until June I. 1970. but no work has been done this year <br />due to strikes and delays by sub-contractors. <br /> <br />Mr. Carl Eagen. Mi nn-.Kota Excavat I ng Company representatl ve, requested <br />an add'tlona~ extension of the contract to July 18. 1970. at which <br />time he stated the construction wi II be completed. Including clean- <br />up work. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Ronald Herrick and seconded by Councilman <br />E. Gray Henderson that the contract be extended to July 18. 1970. <br />after which time The VI!lage wl'lI proceed to collect liquidated <br />damages. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />REPORT OF BUILDING INSPECTOR CLAY KELLEY <br /> <br />Monthlv Reoort <br />Building Inspector Clay Kelley presented a written and oral report <br />to the Council re permits Issued. pending ordinance violations. and <br />a progress report of filling and excavating operatIons. This was the <br />first of a regular monthly report to be submitted by Mr. Kelley. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN JOHN HOLLENHORST - Planning and Zoning <br /> <br />Case No. 70-31. Underground Utilities Ordinance <br />No report at this time. The ordinance Is currently under study by <br />the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Garage Door Height Ordinanc~ <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 99. THE ZONING ORDINANCE. BY ADDING <br />THERETO A PROVISION SETTING A MAXIMUM HEIGHT FOR GARAGE DOORS IN <br />RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS, was read in its entirety by Attorney Courtney. <br />The Ordinance was referred to Attorney Courtney to prepare a final <br />draft. <br /> <br />Case No. 70-22.
