Francis Helderscheld - Variance Request <br />It was moved by Councl Iman John Hollenhorst and seconded by Counci Iman <br />Ronald Herrick that The Council concur with the Board of Appeals <br />and Planning Commission recommendations and approve the three-foot <br />sideyard variance. as requested. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Case No. 70-27, Ravmond Wagner - Lot Spilt Variance Request <br />It was moved by Councilman John HoI ienhorst and seconded by Councilman <br />E. Gray Henderson that the subdivision requirements be waived. and <br />the Council concur with the Board of Appeals and Planning Commission <br />recommendations approving the two (2) lot splits, as requested" <br />creating a lot on Pascal Avenue 78 feet by 150 feet. The motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Case No. 70-28. Rodney Schumacher - Variance Request <br />It was moved by Councilman John Hollenhorst that the five-foot sldeyard <br />variance be granted, as requested, subject to a letter from Mr. Mark <br />Stenberg, specifically stating he has no objection to the five-foot <br />sldeyard set-back. The motion was seconded by Councilman Ronald <br />Herrick and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Urban Planning and Design. Incorporated - Proposals: <br />Case No. 70-5. Continental Oil Company - Special Use Permit Request <br />The matter was deferred untl I the July 27, 1910 Councl I meeting. <br /> <br />Prelimlnar Discussion - The Cross Com anles Pro osal <br />Councilman John Ho enhorst reported that the proposal of multiple <br />housing and a goif course, on acreage west of Lexington Avenue and <br />north of Tiller Lane, was considered to be Improper use of the land, <br />by the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />State Aid Street System <br />Councilman John Hollenhorst moved that the State Aid Street System <br />be approved as prepared and presented by Engineer Donald Lund. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Ronald Herrick and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Engineer Lund was requested to complete the report and submit It to <br />the State. <br /> <br />Minnesota HI~hway Department - Turn Lane Plans <br />Councilman John Hoilenhorst moved that the Minnesota Highway Depart- <br />ment Plans re turn-lanes on Highway 96 between ~ 35W and TH 61 be <br />approved as submitted; the motion was seconded by Councilman E. <br />Gray Henderson and carried unanimOUSly. <br /> <br />Fit I and GradinQ <br />Councilman John Holienho~st moved. seconded by Councilman Ronald <br />Herrick that Filling and Excavating Permits No.4 and 5 be granted <br />to Mr. George Indykiewfcz for eighty (80) days, as requested. The <br />motion carried unanimously. (The permits will be reviewed upon <br />expiration.) <br /> <br />Columbia Transit - Sewer Extension Request <br />(See Report of Engineer Donald Lund.> <br /> <br />Village Hall - prolosed Building Addition <br />Councilman John Ho !enhorst reported that the Planning Commission <br />was unanimous in its recommendation to commence construction on a <br />portion of a new Civic Center building, rather than add to the <br />present Village Hall. <br /> <br />After diSCUSSion. the Council agreed to meet with the Planning <br />Commission; meeting to be scheduled after rough construction estimates <br />are obtained for the proposed addition to the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromq~ist was requested to obtain <br />rough estimates. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />-4- <br />
