14- <br />Boss moved to ask Council to authorize purchase of <br />hockey boards for Perry Park and Freeway Park if saving can be <br />made by buying both at one time , then mentioned - no savings but <br />both needed . <br />1971 <br />Planning Commission Minutes : April <br />Mr . Glenn Beggin , Chairman of the Arden Hills Parks <br />and Recreation Committee, presented a site plan for Charles Perry <br />Park, and cost figures for the proposed improvement , as estimated <br />by Banister Engineering Company , dated November 2, 1970 and <br />February 22 , 1971 . <br />After discussion , and review of the Planner Report , <br />dated April 6 , 1971 , W. Benzick moved that the Planning Commission <br />recommends Council approval of the basic site layout , revising <br />the plan to move the entire field , south of the road , twenty five <br />feet ( 25 ' ) to the east; eliminating the proposed dug-outs ; <br />changing the road width from twenty feet ( 20 ' ) to twenty four <br />feet ( 24 ' ) . The motion was seconded by C . Stoddard and carried <br />unanimously . <br />W. Benzick moved that the Planning Commission recommends <br />that the Council approve advertising for bids for improvement <br />of the area south of the road this year , which includes the com- <br />bination fie d incorporating two soft ball fields and a soccer <br />and football field , in accordance with the amended plans and <br />specifications ; withholding the blacktopping of the road until the <br />fill , compaction and grading of the area north of the road is <br />satisfactorily completed . The motion was seconded by C. Stoddard <br />410 and carried unanimously .
