Hollenhorst moved that the Council concur with the <br />recommendations of the Planning Commission , approving the <br />general site plan , as amended ; seconded by R. Herrick. The mo- <br />tion carried unanimously . <br />R. Herrick advised that the fields may be moved <br />slightly , to avoid drainage problems , and the amount of grading <br />will depend on the location of the large gas main that runs <br />through the area . He advised Mr . Perry that the contract calls <br />for completion of the filling operation by approximately April I , <br />1971 , and grading should begin in a couple of weeks . <br />J . Hollenhorst advised the Council that the Planning <br />Commission does not recommend any improvement of the park north <br />of the proposed road this year; restricting development to the <br />portion of the park south of the proposed road . He also relayed <br />the Planning Commission ' s discontent with the type of fill and <br />the fact that the contractor is not fulfilling his obligations ; <br />suggesting that a committee including R. Herrick , P. Bjorndahl , <br />G. Beggin , and C. Stoddard meet with Attorney Courtney to deter- <br />mine the recourse to be taken ; further suggesting that the south <br />field be graded to 920 ' elevation , if possible , using the <br />excess fill for compaction of the filled area in the north area <br />of the park. <br />R. Herrick was requested to schedule the meeting as <br />recommended .
