2- <br />August <br />To make identification easier , the ballpark at <br />County Road F and Old Snelling was named Valentine Park . <br />There was a request from residents near the ballpark on <br />County Road F for a buffer of trees along County Road F . It <br />was pointed out that the ballpark area and the parking area <br />should be defined , possibly with crushed rock and concrete <br />markers in the parkina area . (Sheey Construction donated <br />concrete curbs . ) <br />October <br />Mr. Perry donated 50 ' of snow fence , which will be <br />used to extend the south end of the hill diagonally on the <br />Valentine playground . <br />1967 <br />Minutes of Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting : May <br />Should we move the warming house on Lake Johanna <br />to the skating rink at Valentine Park? <br />September <br />Letters have been sent to the Department of Conserva- <br />tion and to Don Lund of Banister Engineering Company , about <br />using water from Valentine Lake to flood skating rink at <br />Valentine Park . The rink would be about 60 x 100 ' , and it <br />would be for free skating only . A letter has been sent to <br />Bethel College suaaestina that students and faculty might enjoy <br />using this rink . A pole with lights facing the lake will be <br />erected and the warming house formerly used on Johanna skating <br />area will be moved to the Valentine rink .
