MINUTES CONCERNING FLORAL PARK <br />411 <br />Husby Property <br />1965 <br />City Council Minutes : September <br />Trustee Bjorndahl informed the Council that the Parks <br />and Recreation Committee recommends the purchase of 11 acres at <br />a price of $ 11 , 000 from Mr . Husby for playground purposes ; this <br />area is located north of Floral Drive and west of Hamline Avenue . <br />This is a rectangular piece of property with only about 2 acres <br />situated on low ground . Trustee Bjorndahl stated that he feels <br />the price is reasonable and requested Council approval for the <br />purchase. <br />October <br />111 In reply to an inquiry from Mayor Kennedy regarding the <br />recommendation from the Parks and Recreation Committee to purchase <br />land for recreational purposes , Attorney Courtney informed the <br />Council that he had written a letter . . . . explaining that under the <br />State Statute the Village could purchase property with a five- <br />year contract to pay . Trustee Nethercut stated that Mr . Husby had <br />already agreed to this arrangement; Trustee Nethercut moved , <br />seconded by Trustee Crepeau , to authorize Attorney Courtney to <br />draw up an earnest money contract for the Husby property under <br />the five year contract; motion carried . <br />November <br />Trustee Bjorndahl moved acceptance of the earnest money <br />contract for sale of the Husby property and authorized the Mayor <br />and Clerk to sign same , seconded by Trustee Nethercut , carried . <br />December
