Mr. Brodie will provide a sur- <br />vey request sheet. <br />The Parks and Recreation Committee will consider <br />recreational needs in relation to population growth , existing <br />parks and the location of future parks to determine the general <br />types of activities to be included in the Community Center pro- <br />ject. <br />1969 <br />Village Council Minutes : August <br />At a joint meeting of the Parks and Recreation and <br />Civic Center Committees , Mr . Martin , representative of Inter <br />Design Inc . was introduced . He presented booklets , outlines and <br />slides of his work . Concept plans for the Floral Park recrea- <br />Stional and Civic Center site are to be presented by several <br />planners at a future joint meeting . <br />1969 <br />Parks and Recreation Committee Minutes : September <br />The Civic Center Committee met with Parks and Recrea- <br />tion Committee September 16 , 1969 . Presentations were made by <br />two firms on the Civic Center project . A motion was made by <br />Dr . Woodburn to recommend the "Progressive Design Associates" to <br />the Village Council for approval . The motion was seconded and <br />carried . "Progressive Design Associates" representatives Mr . <br />Rafferty and Mr. Van Hansen quoted a fee of $20 . 00 per hour for <br />their firm ' s service . <br />Village Council Minutes : September <br />After some discussion , the Council decided to delay <br />the hiring of a firm for a preliminary study of a municipal center , <br />pending a report from the Finance Committee .
