1975
City Council Minutes: April
Feyereisen reported that a lot split application on Indian Oaks
Trail, to be considered by Council on April 21, may provide an op-
portunity for Council to obtain an access to Floral Park from the
north.
Parks and Recreation Committee Minutes : June
Buckley reported that the backstop now at Floral Park is a single
phase backstop for temporary use by children in the area; development
of this park is currently under study by three college students;
development plan for this park has not been determined.
Miss Caswell and Ms. Gange gave a resume of their backgrounds and
111 displayed for the Committee several samples of landscape studies they
have done as students at the University. They then explained in de-
tail what type of study they would do for the Arden Hills Parks and
Recreation Department at the Floral Park site and the Hazel Nut
Patch site. J. McTavish made a motion that Committee contact Megan
and Karen, and if they would be agreeable to presenting a soil, vege-
tation, wildlife inventory of the site, physiographic characteris-
tics and water drainage, resulting in a constraint map, and, if
further, upon receipt of information from the Committee regarding
facilities desired in the park, they will draw two or three alter-
native general site plans of the area (Floral Park and Hazel Nut
Patch) for $600. 00, Committee requests the Council ' s approval of this.
This work is expected to be done in ninety days. A third student
not present, Brad Seiluff, would be working with them also. Glenn
Beggin seconded, the motion was unanimously approved.
