Agreement - C & S Manufacturing Company <br />Attorney Courtney read his draft, dated 2/9/70, of an agreement <br />re leasing C & S property at southeast corner of County Road 0 <br />and Cleveland, Rosevll"e. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Olmen that the Council approve the <br />agreement as presented, motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Henderson and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The Council requested that the Public Works Committee determine, <br />at their next meeting, the period of time the building will be <br />needed and submit Its recommendation to the Council on February <br />23, 1970. <br /> <br />New Brighton - Arden Hills Property Exchange Agreement <br />Attorney Courtney read his draft of an Aqre~ment Between Vlllaqes <br />9f Arden HII Is and N~w Brighton Re Proposed Prop~rty Exchange, <br />a copy of which was sent to Mr. Robert Schaefer, Village Manager <br />of New Brighton. <br /> <br />Councilman Herrick moved that the Council accept the agreement, <br />as drafted by Attorney Courtney; motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Hollenhorst and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Clerk Admln!strator Lorraine Stromquist was requested to notify <br />Mr. Schaefer of the agreement approval by the Arden Hills Council <br />for possible consideration by the New Brighton Council on <br />February 10. <br /> <br />League of Women Voters Ha~pbook <br />Attorney Courtney advised that, after review of the "League's" <br />1964 edition of the Handbook, he has determined that If the 1970 <br />edition is basad on this foremat, the Village could authorize the <br />expenditure, up to 5200.00, of the cost of mailing by actually <br />mai ling the books from the Village office, but a donation cannot <br />be authorized to the League of Women Voters to help defray costs <br />of publication of the handbook. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Hollenhorst that the Council authorize <br />the cost of mailing the handbooks, up to 5200.00, after review <br />and approval of the handbook by the Council; requesting that <br />Attorney Courtney prepare the resolution; motion was seconded <br />by Counci Iman Herrick and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist was requested to obtain <br />a "bu'~ mailing permit" for the Village to be used for this and <br />subsequent Village mailings. <br /> <br />La ke RBg i_on Hoc key Ass()c I '!.1J.S!.!!. <br />Attorney Vincent Courtney advised the Council of ' the various <br />Minnesota Statute provisions re the Lake Region Hockey Association <br />lighting request and, after some discussion, Councilman Herrick <br />reouested that the matter be tabled untli he can talk with <br />re~resentatlves of the Lake Region Hockey Association, after <br />which he wiil contact Attorney Courtney. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />Sanlta~Sewer Improvement 13 - Assessment Re Alternate Routing <br />of ?anltary Sewer Line <br />Engineer Donald Lund advised the Council ,of correspondence from <br />Mr. William A. Feyereisen, dated February 9, 1970, requesting <br />preparation of a preliminary assessment for both routlngs of the <br />sewer line, Offering a waiver of trespass when the best location <br />of thasowe. line Is determined.
