<br />, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Regula, Counci I Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />,.2- <br /> <br />January 26, 1970 <br /> <br />(!) the types and location of outdoor storage to be permitted; <br />(2) that existing stations can comply with the requirements and <br />(3) a reasonable basis for limiting number of stations In the <br />V i II age. <br /> <br />Zoning Ordinance Amendment <br />It was moved by Counci lman Henderson that the rules be waived and <br />AN ORD!NANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 99, THE ZOniNG ORDINANCE, TO <br />PROVIDE ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS REGARDING SERVICE STATIONS be given <br />a Second and Final Reading, seconded by Councllman Herrick; carried <br />unanimouSly. Clerk Administrator was requested to publish the <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />Acquisition of Tax Forfeited Land <br />Attorney Courtney advised that tax forfeited land may be acquired <br />in 2 ways: <br />I.J PurChased - no land use designation necessary <br />2.> Free of charge - land use designation must be approved <br />by land commissioner, and if use Is changed, approval of <br />change must be obta I ned. <br />Clerk Administrator was requested to send the lega! description of <br />the land parcels desired to be acquired by the Village, to Attorney <br />Courtney. Attorney Courtney was requested to prepare the necessary <br />resolutions for approval at the next Council meeting; the land use <br />on all 3 parcels is to be designated for park purposes. <br /> <br />New Brighton - Arden Hills Proposed Land Trade <br />Attorney Courtney advised that he met with the Vi Ilage Attorney for <br />New B~ighton and they have arrived at a basic agreement on the <br />legal points involved. Written reports from the respective attorneys <br />to their vi Ilages are being prepared. <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney's map, indicated the areas involved In the trade, <br />was clarified. <br /> <br />A letter from New Brighton, requesting that no building permits <br />in the land trade areas be issued unti I there is a resolution on <br />the land exchange, was discussed. Attorney Courtney, was requested <br />to write to the attorney for Naw Brighton regarding a suggested <br />agreement with Arden Hills, indicating a deadline such as "until <br />further notice is given by either Village". <br /> <br />Water Main Easement - Helman Property <br />Attorney Courtney advised the Counci f of a letter from Attorney <br />Salland stating that a water easement is not needed through the <br />Helman property because It is now vi Ilage-owned land. Attorney <br />Courtney was requested to review the Contract for Deed to verify <br />the need of obtaining the required easement. Attorney Courtney <br />was asked to provide the Clerk Administrator with a copy of Attorney <br />Salland's letter. <br /> <br />Extension of Water Main, Improvement 68-2. along Hudson Avenue <br />Attorney Salland's letter regarding the extension of the 68-2 <br />water main to serve properties on Hudson Avenue was reviewed by <br />Attorney Courtney as well as a proposed Setter to the residents, <br />drafted by Attorney Salland. <br /> <br />The Council, after determining that only a few properties would <br />be served by the extension of this watermain, required that the <br />letter be sent to the residents to determine their desire for <br />water service. <br /> <br />League of Women Voters Handboo~ <br />Mayor Crepeau advised that the Arden Hi lis League of Women Voters <br />has prepared a Handbook to bo delivered to aift homes in the Village, <br />and to be used to provide pertinent Village Information to other <br />Interested persons. The League requested that the Village help <br />subsidi~e the $450.00 total cost of publication, by paying $200.00. <br />Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist advised the Council that <br />the Handbooks, published in 1964, have been utlii~ed by the Village <br />office In answering Inquiries about the Village and are kept on a <br />current basis by the annual insertion of a VI liage ~oning map and <br />information card. <br /> <br />. <br />
