<br />, , <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Regular Councl I Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br />January 26, 1970 <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN STANLEY OLMEN <br /> <br />No report -.The Public Works Committee held a meeting but has no <br />recommendations requiring Council action. <br /> <br />Public Works Supervisor Everett Beecher advised that the new truck <br />will be delivered on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. <br /> <br />REPORT OF MAYOR HENRY J. CREPEAU. JR. <br /> <br />Finance Committee Appointments <br />Mayor Crepeau read a lettar from Mr. Frank Stanton requesting that <br />his resignation from the Finance Committee be accepted as of Jan- <br />uary, 1970. Clerk Admlnlstrator Lorraine Stromquist was requested <br />to write a letter to Mr. Stanton, accepting his resignation and <br />thanking him for the years of service he has rendered to the Village. <br />Mayor Crepeau added his personal "thanks" to Mr. Stanton and ad- <br />vised the Mr. Richard O'Kelly has agreed to replace Mr. Stanton <br />as Finance Committee Chairman, <br /> <br />It was moved by Counci Iman Henderson that the Finance Committee <br />appointments be approved as read by Mayor Crepeau ;attached); <br />seconded by Counci !man Ronald Herrick; carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PlannlnQ Commission - Appointment of Alternates <br />Mayor Crepeau explained that Vi Ilage Ordinance 122 provides for the <br />appointment of 2 alternate members to the P~anning Commission, and <br />recommended the first altern~te to be Councilman John Hollenhorst <br />and the second ~Itornate to be Mr. Charles H. Stoddard, Jr.. 1666 <br />Oak Avenue. Councilman Herrick moved that these appointments be <br />accepted; seconded by Counci Iman Henderson; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Crime Prevention and Control <br />Mayor Crepeau requested Clerk Administrator to write to Mr. Barrotte <br />requesting InformatIon on how to participate In available Anti-Crime <br />Funds. <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR LORRAINE STROMQU;ST <br /> <br />Committee Representation, Metro Ar~ <br />Mayor Crepeau presented a tlst of various committees at which a <br />liaison for Arden Hi lis should be represented. <br />Appointed representatives were: <br />Mr. Ronald Herrick - Ramsey County League delegate and Arden <br />Hills representative on League sub-committees <br />Mr. John Hollenhorst - was appointed as alternate <br />Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist was requested to put the <br />Counci I members on the mai ling list for League of Minnesota Munici- <br />palities statewide committees. <br /> <br />Appointments to the Metro Section of the Minnesota League sub-com- <br />mittees was head over to the next meeting. <br /> <br />Minnesota Plumbing C~~ <br />Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist advised that the State of <br />Mi.nesota Health Department has recommended that the new State <br />Plumbing Code be adoptedty the Vi llage, Plumbing Inspector Winfield <br />West has also recommended its adoption, excepting the portion on <br />plastic pipe. which he requests the Vi !lage to study before adopting. <br />The Code was referred to the Ordinance Study Committee for their <br />recommendations to the Counci I. <br /> <br />Apportionment Resolution - Sanitary Sewer Improvement No.9 <br />It was moved by Councilman Olmen that Apportionment Resolution - <br />Sanitary Sewer Improvement No.9 be approved as attached; seconded <br />by Counci Iman Henderson; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />- <br />
