<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />APRIL 28, 2003 <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />Mr. Chris Reinhardt, E-Z Recycling, stated under the new contract, all recycling <br />material could be mixed (co-mingled). He indicated the bins could be distributed <br />in approximately 6 weeks, along with updated information and recycling <br />instructions. The bins would be medium green color to match the Arden Hills <br />logo and would have the Arden Hills logo stamped in white on each side of the <br />rectangular bin. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Larson moved and Councilmember Grant <br />seconded a motion to adopt the Agreement for Curbside <br />Recycling Services, which reflects the 694 split and extends the <br />agreement with E-2 Recycling. The motion carried <br />unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Larson moved and Councilmember Holden <br />seconded a motion to purchase 3,000 recycling bins from Tulip <br />Corporation for $16,500 with the funds for the purchase <br />coming from the Recycling Enterprise Fund (#603). The <br />motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />C. TCAAP - Resolution No. 03-37: A Resolution Opposinl! the Postal <br />Service's Relocation to the TCAAP Property <br /> <br />Ms. Young explained the Resolution would oppose the Postal Service's proposed <br />relocation to the TCAAP Property. <br /> <br />Mayor Aplikowski requested the Resolution be read into the record. <br /> <br />Ms. Young read the Resolution No. 03-37, for the record. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden requested the following change: Paragraph 1 under the <br />Therefore clause, change the word because to since. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson requested the following change: Paragraph 3 under the <br />Therefore clause to read: That a large postal distribution facility would create <br />more adverse noise, traffic, and visual impacts than any other uses anticipated by <br />the Vento Plan. <br /> <br />Mayor Aplikowski requested the fourth "whereas" clause be removed. <br />
