<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />JUL Y 28, 2003 <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />Mayor Aplikowski stated time was of the essence in this matter and if they had <br />the Wyncrest Court residents come to another meeting because they were not <br />notified ofthis meeting, this would delay the process, <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant stated it made good sense to pump through a commercial <br />district, rather than a residential area, <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson stated the Council could not please everyone and <br />$20,000 was a lot of money and it was not necessary to spend this amount when <br />there was another solution, <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmember <br />Holden seconded a motion to approve the Karth Lake <br />pumping project, and authorize the advertisement of bids <br />and direct staff to begin the process to create a Lake <br />Improvement District for Karth Lake, <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant noted it was important that the lake be pumped as soon as <br />possible and he did not want to see this project be delayed, He stated he was in <br />favor of this solution. <br /> <br />Councilmember Rem stated residents along Wyncrest Court had experienced <br />difficulties and the reason to proceed with the commercial route was not just <br />because Wyncrest Court residents did not like the route, She indicated it did not <br />make sense to go with the shortest, cheapest route for this project. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson noted he was not speaking against the project, but he <br />believed the Council should be pursuing the cheaper route, He stated he would <br />not vote for this, but he supported the project, just not the route, <br /> <br />Mayor Aplikowski stated while $20,000 was a lot of money, taking the whole <br />scale of the project in mind, she believed this was a good solution and was in <br />support of it. <br /> <br />The motion carried (4-1 Councilmember Larson), <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Fernwood Pond Drainal!e Easement <br />
