<br /> 0 . <br /> Regular Council Meei"lng Minutes November 26, 1973 <br /> Page two <br /> Arden Manor - Status Report <br /> Engineer Lund distributed copies of his letter re the status of <br /> the utilities Installations In Arden Manor Mobile Home Park, to <br /> the Council (dated 11/26/73>. <br /> Lund recommended that soil density tests be made where trenches <br /> for sewer and water mains are already Instal led under mobile <br /> . home pads and where trenches cross roadways, to determine If <br /> they have been sufficiently compacted, and to determine that 5011 <br /> will adequately support lines. Lund further recommended that all <br /> future utility Instal lations be Inspected by a resident Inspector, <br /> . submitting regular reports to the Village. <br /> Attorney Lynden stated that the Mobile Home Ordinance does provide <br /> for Inspections by Vii lage employees and provides for fees to be <br /> paid for these Inspections by the developer. <br /> Crichton moved, seconded by Olmen, that the Cou nc II author I ze 'I ,loa <br /> Village Engineer to set up an appropriate Inspection pattern, ...hlch <br /> will be satisfactory to the Village Engineer, assuring that future <br /> wor k will be done satisfactorily; cost of Inspections to be borne <br /> by the developer. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> (The Cou nc 1/ agreed that Adams may hire his own Inspector, If the <br /> method of Inspection Is agreeable to the Village Engineer; essu~lng <br /> the VII/age Engineer of confidence In recommending Council approval <br /> of the Installations when the time comes.) <br /> Pemtom - Request for Village Acceptance of Storm Drainage Pond, <br /> Storm Sewer for Project No. I , Sanitary Sewer and Water Main for <br /> Projects No. I through No. 3. <br /> Lund reported he has not determined whether request refers to <br /> "projects" or 'Phases" I through 3; stating that the storm water <br /> pond Is not complete as of this date, and requested that the matter <br /> be deferred until the next Council meeting. <br /> Orf Ie and Sons - Final Payment Re County Road E Repairs <br /> Engineer Lund recommended Council approval of the payment of <br /> $3,881.94 to Orfle and Sons for work done on County Road E, on <br /> behalf of Ramsey County (removal of pavement, excavating etc.) <br /> which Ramsey County sublet to Orfie and Sons because County equip- <br /> ment was not available. . Mr. Lund advised that the bill does not <br /> Include re-surfaclngl which wIll be paid for by the County. <br /> Crichton moved, seconded by Olmen, that the Council authorize final <br /> payment to Orfle and Son,; In ,(l'hl dmou nt of $3,881.94. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> Dreyfus Easement for Sewer Connection <br /> Lund reported that Dreyfus has been negotiating with Mr. Jurgensen <br /> re a sewer easement through the Jurgenson property. Lund suggested <br /> that an easement (additional ten feet In width) following the existing <br /> water easement be considered as an alternate route. He said there <br /> . Is aa existing 20 ft. water easement, which could be changed to a <br /> utility easement or water and sewer easement; adding 10 ft. to Its <br /> width. He said this route would add to the length of sewer c.onnec- <br /> tlon for Dreyfus, but recommended consideration of this alternative <br /> route, which would eliminate the necessity of tree removal. <br /> The Council requested that Engineer Lund suggest this as a deslreable <br /> . alternative easement route to Dreyfus; suggesting they negotiate <br /> with Mr. Jurgenson re this alternate route. <br /> Letter from VillaQe of New Brlahton re RenderinQ Plant Sewer Service <br /> New Brighton's letter was reviewed re the rendering plant sewer service, <br /> noting that the rendering plant in this annexed area Is to be served with <br /> sanitary sewer by New Brighton, as per contract with New Brighton at <br /> time of annexation. <br /> -2- <br /> --- - ---------- <br /> ---.------ <br />
