The Council unanimously agreed. <br /> <br />Certification of DelinQuent Utility Accounts <br /> <br />Crichton reviewed C. McNlesh's memo regarding certification of <br />de II nquent uti II ty accounts and moved that the Counc I I authorl1:e <br />the certification of only those accounts In excess of $5.00, ex- <br />cluding accounts under J5.00 which represen~ no more than one <br />quarter's billing. The motion was seconded by Olmen and carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Ordinance Review Committee MeetinQ of SeDt. 19. 1913 <br /> <br />Crichton reported that written recommenclatlonsregardlng -the Sign <br />Ordlnanc0 Amendments and State legislation will be forthcoming <br />from the Ordinance Reylew Committee. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCilMAN STAN OlMEN - Public Works <br /> <br />Street LiQht Request - Arden View Court & Hamline Avenue <br /> <br />Olmen reported a request for a street light at the intersection <br />of Arden View Court and Hamline Avenue. The matter was referred <br />to the Public Works Committee for its recommendations to the Council. <br /> <br />Public Works Commi.ttee Meeting of September 12, 1913 <br /> <br />Olmen reported that the Public Works Committee has recommended <br />the appointment of Mr. Roger Rilling as chairman ot the Public <br />Works Committee for the balance of 1913, end the aPPOintment of <br />Mr. Duane long, 1645 Valentine Avenue, as a new member of the <br />Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />After determining that Mr. Rei ling has agreed to accept the proposed <br />appointment, Herrick moved, seconded by Olmen. that the Council <br />approve the appointment by the Mayor of Mr. Roger Reiling as chalr- <br />ma~ of the Public Works Committee for the balance of 1913; motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The appointment of Mr. Duane long to the Committee was tabled until <br />he has been contacted reg~rdlng serving on the Committee. . <br /> <br />Bethei ColleAe - Master Meter <br /> <br />Olmsn reported that the Public Works Co~mlttee recommends that the <br />Vi llage pay the engineering costs plus 20t of the Installation ~osts <br />of the proposed B:ethe I College master meter. He reported the estimated <br />cost to they,j I lege at about $2.500. Mr. Olmen referred the Council <br />to Mr. Henderson's memo of July 19. 1973, regarding reasons for Yil- <br />lage participation in the costs. <br /> <br />Olmen recommended that the Council approve Village payment of the <br />engineering costs plus 20% of the meter Installation costs, as recom- <br />m ended by the Public Works Committee. Henderson was authorized to <br />negotiate with Bethel College regarding share of meter installation <br />costs; the Public Works recommended 20% Village sODre could be offset <br />by individual meters purchased by Bethel College, which the College <br />would keep; or Village share of costs could be reimbursement for Indi- <br />vidual meters purchased, but not needed by the College after master <br />meter Installation. <br />
