He said there are probably several <br />other similar situations and suggested that an Inspector from the <br />engineer's office assist In locating the manholes which should be raised. <br /> <br />Herrick Inquired as to the feasibility of sealed manholes to prevent <br />seapage. <br /> <br />Hollenhorst moved that the Public Works Department be authorized to <br />hire the consultant, as proposed, CrIchton seconded the motion, pro- <br />viding that the cost be paid from the Sewer Utility Fund. Hollenhorst <br />agreed, and the amended motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Johansen was authorized to proceed immediately. <br /> <br />HI9hway Department Plans, 1-35W <br /> <br />Engineer Lund was requested to review the plans submitted by the Hlgh- <br />I~ay Department and advise the Council If the plans Indicate changes <br />other than sl9na~e, <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER RICHARD O'KELLY <br /> <br />Treasurer O'Kelly reported cash balances In the three banks at approxi- <br />mately $8,700.00, and a re-investment of $30,000 at 6.2~ tor 6 months <br />on May 28, 1973, and $35,000 at 7;2~ on June 4, 1973. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN JOHN HOlLENHORST - Planning and Zoning, Human Rights <br /> <br />Case No. 73-16, D.H. Gustafson - Stoneeate <br /> <br />Hollenhorst referred the CouncIl to the minutes of the Special Planning <br />Commission meeting of May 15, which details ten reasons for the Plan- <br />nIng Commission's recommendations to Council tor denial of the Stone- <br />gate Special Use Permit, preliminary plan and variances. <br /> <br />Mr. Dan Gustafson stated that he felt there mayhavG been some mlsunder- <br />'standing as to meeting dates when the Planning Commission would discuss <br />the proposal, and that he had hoped to be present to answer questions <br />that might arise. He said he feals that all. the problems which the <br />Planning Commission has cited can be resolved and requested an opportunity <br />to discuss the matter. <br /> <br />Hollenhorst stated that If Mr. Gust~fson feels he can correct the <br />deficlances out! ined by the Planning CommIssion, he should be given <br />the opportunity to do so, and recommended thet the matter be re-referred <br />to the Planning Commission at Its meetIng on June 5, 1973. The Council <br />concurred with Mr. Hollenhorst's recommendation. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />HerriCk requested that the Parks and Recreation Committee be given an <br />opportunity to make iTS recommendations before the Planning Commission <br />recommendations are SUbmitted to th~ Council. <br /> <br />Case No. 72-35, Pemtom <br />Registered land Survey <br /> <br />ATTorney Lynden recommended Council approval of the Registered Land <br />Survey, as presented. Hollenhorst moved, seconded by Crichton, that <br />the Council approve the Registered land Survey, as submitted, author- <br />Izing its execution by the Mayor and Clerk; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Wood Chips Turn Around Areas <br /> <br />Plowing of the proposed wood chip turn around areas. and how the Village <br />can be assured these areas will be plowed, we,re Question(.~by Crichton. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
