Venus Avenue and Roiling Hills Road area. <br /> <br />July 28, 1975 <br /> <br />Buckley noted that Oak Wi It is prevalent on properties north and south <br />of the Soo Line tracks, between Highway 51 and Old Highway 10, also <br />west of Lexington A~enue between County Road F and 1-694 and on the <br />Twin CIties Arsenal property, north of Highway 96. <br /> <br />After discussion, McNiesh was requested to contact Representative <br />Joseph Karth re trantment and removal of diseased trees on Federal <br />properties In the Village, and to contact Mr. Burgeson and/or other <br />tree removal companllls, re a short-tarm contract to immediately re- <br />move diseased trees In Arden Hills; bids also to be obtained for long- <br />term .tree rellt'Ova I contract. <br /> <br />Status Report - Perry and Freeway-Par~ <br />Buckley reported "grEHt strides" In tlta Perry Park development, and <br />Invited Council to visit the Park to sse how construction has progressed. <br /> <br />Buckley reported he has ordered the climbing structure for Freeway <br />. Park, which should be d1l ivered soon - a sand box wi II soon be Installed <br />and ~e' has r~ceived two bids for the hard-surface area <$1605 and $1500). <br /> <br />Moun'ds View High School ,'ennls Courts <br />Buckley reported that thi coin boxes ware stolen a week ago Saturday <br />(July 19th) from the ten"is courts at Mounds View High School; replace- <br />ment c.oin boxes will be i',stalled in about two weeks - electric wiring <br />has been altered to permi'use of I ights (without coins) temporari Iy; <br />lights are manually turnm. on and off each evening. <br /> <br />Annual Progress Report fo~ 1974-1975 <br />Buckl.y referred Council to his Annual Progress Report distributed <br />tonight for discussion at a later ~eeting. <br /> <br />E9uipment Purchase <br />After review of park aquipment purchase list, and discussion, Crichton <br />moved, seconded by W'JodbITI1, that Counci I authorize i-he purchase of <br />park equipment as listed (dated July 28, 1975), except the six. (6) <br />benches for tennis :ourt~. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />(Buckley -to check \ ith SCYJols re benches.) <br /> <br />School Coordlnatr~~. Agreeme"t <br />BUCkley reported t~ateach municipality Is required to pay' of-salary <br />of bui Iding ccr~dlnBtor ($;Ofr-$150/month), or S3.25/hour, for use of <br />school build!.gs. He said that Arden Hills u~es Valentine Hills, Ralph <br />Reeder, Johu'lIa Jr. and MOllnds View High Schools In Its program llctlvltles. <br /> <br />Councl I ez,ressed concern and confusion recharges made to municipalities <br />for pro~rjms actually coordinated by the School District Community <br />Educat;rl Department. No Councl I action was taken, pending i subjective <br />evalr~f;on of the program. <br /> <br />Corrn\lcity-A-Fa i r <br />BUcI~~y referred Council to memo from Barry Bauer inviting Council to <br />the ;ommunity-A-Falr, which is an area-wide community education and <br />recsation program "klck-off" affair. <br /> <br />c.ichton moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council authorize the expendi- <br />1.ire of $20.00 for Buck I ey' s attendance at the Commun I ty-A-Fa I r at <br />rondafe High School. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />.lel'-sustalnlng Program <br />Goync!
