Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />(Christoffersen reported that unit price bids were required, Village <br />wll! inspect the project - Banister wi II instruct Village personnel <br />re inspection procedurel. <br /> <br />Christoffersen advised Council that Eide Circle Is included in this <br />sealcoating project, but If it is determined that Elde Circle Is to <br />be eliminated from the project, an adjustment of quanties wi I I <br />be made. <br /> <br />!:'l~~_~'L. .!':l.lIJ~.s se li~!".~nLR_oJI <br />After discussion of method of assesslnQ, Feverelsen moved adontlon of <br />Resolution No. 75-23 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR HEARINC ON THE PROPOSED <br />ASSESSkENT FOR NURSERY HILL PLAT IMPROVEMENT OF 1974; Public Hearing <br />to lle held by the Council on f'londay, Juno 16, 1975, at 7:00 p.m. <br />Notion was seconded by Wingert and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Cardiac Pacemaker, Inc. <br />Christoffersen referred Councl I to his letter of 5/19/75 regarding <br />his review of plans submitted, advising that ponding of excess water <br />from approximately 3/4 of the site would be to the low area near <br />County Road F and Fernwood; excess drainage from the northwesterly <br />portion of the site shoulft be detained In the pond north of the site. <br />Christoffersen advised that the plans did not include underground <br />storm sewer, water and sanitary sewer uti tities. Christoffersen <br />noted that the locations of the driveways seem to be the most <br />practical for this site, as proposed. <br /> <br />In discussion, Christoffersen advised that more detailed plans wi II <br />be necessary before drainage and ponding site adequacy can be <br />determined; appears that, If required, pondlng of excess drainage <br />can be accomplished on the site - Lexington Drainage Study had <br />proposed a detention basin south of this area rather than a pond <br />on each site. <br /> <br />Crichton noted that the Comprehensive Plan includes a statement that <br />"land will not be developed In such a way as to Increase either the <br />speed or quantity of run-off". Christoffersen suggested that Council's <br />alterna"rivs might be to purchase low pondlng are-as and pass assessment <br />to properties draining Into same. <br /> <br />Mr. Gene Scales, 4136 James Circle, questioned the Hamllne Avenue <br />driveway directly opposite Floral Drive, because Floral Drive is a <br />"dead-end street" and wi I I probably be travelled by cars exiting <br />from Cardiac Pacemakers to the west. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Robert Anderson, 1357 Floral Drive, said he finds it hard to under- <br />stand why it Is advantageous to Cardiac Pacemakers to have an exit <br />on Hamline Avenue, a residential street, when County Road F Is <br />already an industrial street; residential streets should not be <br />burdened with industrial traffic. <br /> <br />ARDEN ASSOCIATION REQUEST RE VILLAGE NEWSLETTER <br /> <br />Council summarized correspondence from Attorney Lynden (5/16/751 re <br />subsidy of subscriptions to New Brighton Bulletin, which Indicates <br />that the Vi Ilage cannot subsidize citizens' subscriptions, offering <br />as an alternative that the New Brighton Bulletin amplify its coverage <br />of the City's activities by devoting more space thereto. <br /> <br />In discussion, the following considerations were noted: <br /> <br />-3- <br />
