Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Highway Easement <br />Deferred to May 12, 1975 Counci I Meeting. <br />(Crichton to communicate with McRae) <br /> <br />Arden Manor - Memo from Johansen <br />Council was referred to le'Her from Johansen re Arden Manor Infi Itra- <br />tion Into Village sewer lines. <br /> <br />McNiesh was requested to check with Lynden as to possible legal action <br />re infiltration due to ineffective plug. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD CHRISTOFFERSEN <br /> <br />Bids for Lift Station No.8 Revision <br />Christofferson reported that Don Lund requests that this matter be <br />deferred to May 19th Council Meeting, at which time he wi II present <br />specific informatIon re Increased costs; Lund has oral approval from <br />lo~ bidder, Par-Z Con. Co. (written confirmatlo~ has not been received <br />to date) to delay bid letting until that date; Attorney Lynden indi- <br />cates he anticipates no complications re the delay. <br /> <br />Matter was deferred to May 19th Counci I Meeting. <br /> <br />Mounds View Tennis Court l)ghtin9 ProJ.!!.ct <br />Christoffersen reoorted ttat A~pllcation for Pa,ment and Operation <br />Manuals were received from Tieso Electric today; has not had time to <br />rev I ew manuc. I. <br /> <br />Christoffersen reported ttat the reason power wus on at teRnis courts <br />on May 16th, and not on tte 17th may have been that switches were pulled. <br /> <br />Chri stoffersen reported ttat a II items on "punch II st" have been co'rrec- <br />ted and approved, except ~is review of the manual. <br /> <br />After discussion, Feyerei~en moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Counci I <br />approve payment of $8,267.00 to Tieso Electric Company on the con- <br />dition that Vi Jlage Engineer finds manual to be appropriate. <br /> <br />Crichton moved that motion be amended to include penalty of $100, for <br />late completion, ~nd that Counci I approve payment In the amount of <br />$8,167.00. Amended motion was seconded by Wingert. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />In discussion, r4r. Tieso explained that extenuating circumstances pre- <br />vented completion by contract date: <br />I. N.S.P. had been requested to install underground service <br />last fall, but t~is was not done. <br />2. Frost charges would be added to cost o' underground servIce <br />during winter months. <br />3. Tlffie extension was granted to AprIl IS"'h, instead of May I, <br />as requested - N.S.P. made installation in one day; there- <br />fore project was substantially completn on April 16, 1975. <br />(Tieso noted that letter from McNiesh indicates penalty <br />would start on the 16th). <br /> <br />Amendment to motion did net pass (Crichton and Wingert voting In favor <br />of amended motion; Feyereisen, Woodburn, Crepeau voting in opposition). <br /> <br />Original motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
