<br />, . <br />.. <br /> <br />~1INUTES OF REGULAH COUNCIL t~EETING November 25, 1914 <br />Page two <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />Lift Station No.8 Specifications - Status Report <br />Lund referred Co~ncll to his letter of November 22, 1914, and advised <br />that the metering devices are not functioning at this station, and <br />Metro Sewer Board has requested these be replaced at their expense at <br />the time Lift Station up-grading project is done by the Vii lage. <br /> <br />Council questioned how MSB is determining sewer charge to the Village, <br />if this metering device Is not working, and whether meter was used <br />as a basis for sizing new pump to be installed. <br /> <br />Lund advised that pump size was based on size and nature of area to <br />be served by this station. <br /> <br />. It was the consensus of the Council that Lund proceed with the meter- <br />ing device installation, as described. <br /> <br />Lake Johanna Outlet <br />Lund referred Council to his I etter of I 1/25/14, In wh I ch he adv I ses <br />of a Ramsey County Report describing Lake Johanna as a storm water <br />storage area at 880.5, after completion of new outlet. Lund expressed <br />concern re this level, since problems have occurred In the past when <br />lake reached 879-880. . <br /> <br />After discussion, McNiesh was requested to invite the County Engineer <br />and Engineer for Rice Creek Watershed District, to discuss this and <br />other aspects of the matter at an early Counci I meeting. <br /> <br />Hunters Park - Harriet Avenue Specifications <br />Lund stated that it was his understanding that Harriet Avenue was to <br />be a 9-ton road, Instead of 1-ton as proposed by Dreyfus Corporation. <br /> <br />Lund recommended that Dreyfus construct a9-ton road, suggesting Council <br />grant compensaNon for the cost differen,tial if, In fact, a 7-ton road <br />was approved. <br /> <br />Crichton said that at several stages of the development procedure, he <br />had aSked Attorney Lynden if the road specifications for Harriet Avenue <br />be included in the required documentation (Special Use Permit, Develop- <br />.At! He said that the plans <br />submitted for the roadways for Hunters Park Mere not for 9-ton roads. <br /> <br />Feyereisen asked the difference in cost involved. Lund said this has <br />. not been determ i ned . <br /> <br />Crepeau said the City wants a 9-ton road on Harriet Avenue. Evidently <br />there Is a misunderstanding to be resolved. <br /> <br />After further discussion, Olson suggested that Dreyfus meet with the <br />Councl I to resolve the Harriet Avenue construction specifications re- <br />quirement. <br /> <br />Bussard Court - Re~lest for Relaase of 1m rovement Bond <br />Lund referred Council to his letter of II 25 74, advising of work pend- <br />Ing completion, and recommending release of the bond. Lund explained <br />that the sealcoating wi II be done in the spring of 1915. <br /> <br />After discu~slon, Crichton suggested that the developer be requested <br />to submit a letter to the Village, assuring Village that he accepts <br />the responsibi lity to satisfactorily complete neccessary work in con- <br />junction with sealcoating and the revision to manhole 62, if It Is <br /> <br />-2- - <br />
