He said he has requested bids for sewer and water connection <br /> and for construction of a basement, but has not been able to find anyone to do <br /> this work. Maintenance of the grounds this year has been complicated by neighbors <br /> dumping brush and trash in the yard. <br /> After discussion, Reiling requested an extension of time to connect the property <br /> to sewer and water until June 3D, 1975. He said he also intends to raise the <br /> house and construct a foundation, repLace W1ndowe and to general17 up-grade <br /> the DrODtlrty. <br /> . Crichton moved, seconded by Olmen, that the Council grant the time extension, for <br /> connection of the house at 3403 Johanna Boulevard to municipal sewer and water, to <br /> .June 30, 1975; house to be made habitable by that date. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 3151 Lake Johanna Blvd. - Request to Move Grocery Store Into Service Station Portion <br /> of Building <br /> Roger Reiling requested permission to relocate his grocery store in the service <br /> station portion of the building at 3151 Laka Johanna Boulevard, stating tha~ the <br /> service station is no longer in operation. <br /> McNiesh was requested to check with Attorney Lyndento determine procedure re- <br /> quirements re this proposed change in non-conforming use. <br /> Ilar Mar Inc. Development in Roseville <br /> Wingert reported that in talking with the engineer on the project, filling and <br /> grading the Ford Agency property on the west side of Snelling Avenue in Roseville, <br /> all permits have been obtained and there is no requirement for the holding of <br /> water run-off in this area; only requirement is for "traps" in the parking lot. <br /> Concern was expressed by the Council re quality and quantity of water discharged <br /> into Lake Johanna, and need for a filter, After discussion, Wingert agreed to <br /> draft letter to Rice Creek Watershed District Board of Governors (cc. D.N.R., <br /> County Engineer and City of Roseville). <br /> Comprehensive Development Plan <br /> , <br /> Wingert briefly reviewed his memc to the Planning Commission re Comments from <br /> Arden Hills Council Regarding 1974 Comprehensive Plan, and asked that reaction <br /> to thememoand/or changes requested be submitted to him prior to the Special <br /> Planning Commission Meeting on October 22, 1974. <br /> REPORT OF COUNCILMAN CHARLES CRICHTON - Public Works, Ordinance Review <br /> No, 8 Lift Station <br /> Crichton reported that the Public Works Committee 'recommends thst Council authorize <br /> the preparaticn of specifications for Lift Station No.8; space for standby power unit <br /> not to be included. He explained that receptacles for the standby unit at each <br /> lift station will be recommended later; unit is proposed to be stored in the Public <br /> Works Building. P~t~r discussion, Council concurred with the Public Works Committee <br /> recommendation, anrl authorized preparation of the specifications by Engineer Lund, <br /> Water Van <br /> Crichton referred Council to a memo from Johansen (dated 10-11-74) re informal <br /> . bids received, and moved that Council authorize the purchase of the water van <br /> from Minar Ford at a cost of $2935.00. Motion was seconded by Wingert and carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> Union Negotiations Report <br /> Council discussed the requests of the Unio~and Crichton agreed to draft letter, <br /> prior to meeting on October 21s~ re consensus of the Council, in reply to Union <br /> requests. <br /> Arden Manor <br /> Crichton moved, seconded by Feyereisen, that the Council approves 11 specific units <br /> for occupancy in Arden Manor, as per map 0narked in green); confirming action taken <br /> at Special Council Meeting of October 3, 1974, ,mtion carried unanimously, <br /> (It was noted that map should indicate addresses of the 11 units approved for occu- <br /> pancy. ) <br /> -4- <br /> ---------- <br />
