,j. ~ VIllage Council Minutes -3- Aug. 12, 1974 It was the concensus of the Council that Mr. Adams resolve the following matters with the Council: I. Roadways prob I em; 2. Approval of water system; 3. Approval of sewer system; 4. Compl lance with approved plans. Pemtom Utilities - Status Report . Lund reviewed the status of the Pemtom streets and utilities, reporting that considerable work remains before final Inspection can be completed. REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER RICHARD O'KELLY Investments Treasurer O'Kelly reported an Investment of $135,000 on August 8, 1974, for 90 days at 11.25% Interest. REPORT OF COUNCILMAN JAMES WINGERT - Planning and Zoning, Board of Appeals Comprehensive Development Plan Wingert requested that Council comments and recommended changes re the Comprehensive Development Plan be submitted to the Village office, or to him, as soon as possible so a concensus of the Council can be reached and referred to the Planning Commission for consideration. REPORT OF COUNCILMAN STAN OLMEN - Finance No report. REPORT OF COUNCILMAN CHARLES CRICHTON - Public Works Stave-Clatterbuck Water Service Connection Crichton reviewed the proposed plastic water service connection requested by Mr. Stave and Mr. Clatterbuck to serve both residences on Snel ling Avenue from a point on Cummings Lane. . Engineer Lund reported that plastic water pipe Is now being used exten- sively; recommends the polyethylene type plastic water service line with a 160 psi pressure rating as a minimum. In discussion of size of line needed, Enplneer Lund said the proposed It" line should not be a problem, but pressure wil I be checked before determining the size of line needed. Lund noted that plastic Is difficult to thaw because of the necessity of using steam. After discussion, Crichton moved that the Council approve the Stave- Clatterbuck request to instal I a plastic water service connection to serve both properties, on condition that a minimum 160 psi pressure rated pipe be used; size of line to be that deemed sufficient by the Vii lage Enplneer after pressure check. Motion was seconded by Feyerelsen, and carried unanimously. It was noted that this water line cannot be used as an official ground; electrical system requires Independent grounding. It was further noted by the applicants that a "" plastic sewer line Is proposed to serve these two residences, separated from the water line by a depth of about I foot, both lines to be located in the same B foot deep trench. -3-
