Buckley) <br /> <br />SpecIal <br />A. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Parks and RecreatiQn Committee Meeting of March 26. 1974: <br />Arsena I, Property Recommendations - See Councilman WI ngert' s <br />Report. <br />SPARC - Buckley reported that the Parks Committee suggests <br />allocating $75.00 from the Parks Program Budget and the <br />other $75.00 from General Fund (not budgeted this year). <br /> <br />After discussIon of the budget, Buckley said the Committee <br />would consider the matter In conjunction with other summer <br />programs at Its meeting on April 9th. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />McNlesh was requested to determine that legal requirements <br />have been met re Village support of this type of program <br />(Including North Suburban Day Activity Center. etc.). <br />Park Requisition Pr~orlties . Buckley reported that the Parks <br />Committee recommends that the Village negotiate the purchase <br />of about t acre of the Moss property for an access to Ingerson <br />Park; stating that this access Is nscassary to make the park <br />usable. <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />After discussion, Mayor Crepeau offered to talk to Mr. Bergman <br />re possible acquisition of a portion of his property for access <br />to the park. <br />Teen Center Bulldlna - Buckley reported he had talked with <br />Bud Johansen, and It was determined that thIs building could <br />be used by both ~he Parks and Public Works Departments for <br />storage. <br /> <br />Mr. George Larson, f,rden HI lis resident. discussed the pos- <br />sibility of leasing or purchasing the building for emergency <br />ambulance service In this area. <br /> <br />Community Garden_~roJesi <br />Buckley descrIbed a proposed community garden project on Northern States <br />Power property at the generator station on Old Highway fO (approximately <br />30 to 40 plots), and on a por~lon of the Joe Bussard property on Old <br />Highway 10 (approximately 50 to 60 plots).. Ha reported that another <br />resIdent, Mr. Winiecki, has agreed to plow and dIsc the areas, and it <br />is proposed by the Parks Committee to rent tha 15' x 20' plots to resi- <br />dents of the Village for a fee of $2.00-$4.00 tto pay for the plowing <br />and dlsclng). <br /> <br />-3- <br />
