Block 7 be moved In a northwest direction 5' to 10'. <br />2. An emergency connection be made between the turning circle <br />and long western court (connection to be of gravel or other <br />suitable material which does not encourage short-cutting <br />through the areal. <br />3. PlantIng list to specify caliper sizes. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />(Attorney Lynden and Planner Schmid left meetlngl <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN STAN OLMEN - Finance <br />(absent - no reportl <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN CHARLES CRICHTON - Public Works, Ordinance <br />Review <br /> <br />Annyal Water and Sewer SchooJ <br />Crichton reported that the Public Works Committee recommends that <br />Bud Johansen attend the Water and Sewer School this year, which will <br />be held the first week In Aprl I. <br /> <br />The Council concurred and authorized Mr. Johansen's attendance at the <br />school. <br /> <br />Seal~oatinQ VI I laQQ Streets <br />Crichton explained that the Public Works Committee recommends that the <br />Vi Ilage advertise for bids for sealcoating about 4 of the Village <br />streets, as scheduled and budgeted, suggesting that after bids are <br />.rece I ved, determl natl on be made as -to how many streets can be sea 1- <br />coated thIs year, beca~se of the higher anticipated costs. He re- <br />ported that specifications are being prepared. <br /> <br />It was noted that various portions of streets throughout the Village <br />ere Jnneed of repair, and it was explained that these areas wi II be <br />patched. <br /> <br />Re a r to lift Station o. 8 <br />Crl chton escrl bed he need for IIp-gradl ng L1 ft Station No.6 (I nger- <br />son at Hemllnel and reported that the Public Works Committee Is pre- <br />paring data of anticipated residents served by this station, to be <br />submitted to Engineer Lund; requesting his determination of anticipated <br />flow. Crichton explained that Station No.8 Is presently pumping <br />near capacity; therefore, It may be necessary TO up-grade the station <br />to provide sufficient pumpIng capacity. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Fire Protection - 8amsev. County Park Lands and Open S~ace . <br />Crichton referred the Councl I to a letter from Shoreview (2/26/74), <br />advising of a Fire Protection Agreement between Shorevlew and the <br />Ramsey County Board, and requesting comments from Arden Hills and <br />North Oaks re Intentions to enter inTO similar Fire Protection Agree- <br />ments with Ramsey County for open space and park lands locaTed In <br />Arden Hili s and North Oaks. <br /> <br />Crichton suggested this type of agreement might be worthwhile for <br />Arden Hills, also, and asked the Council to consider the matter for <br />action at a later meeting. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN WILLIAM FEYEREISEN - Parks and Recreation, <br />Human Rights <br /> <br />Human Rights Commission Meeting - March 7, 1974 <br />Feyerelsen reported that Minutes of this meeting wll I be forth-coming; <br />essence of the meeting was that the group was dIvided Into primary <br />and secondary InTerest groups and time lines for accomplishing their <br />goals were established. <br /> <br />-4- <br />
