The Council, therefore, determined no action Is needed at <br />this time. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ard of Appeals AD~oint~nts <br />Upon recommendation of Wingert, and approval of the Council, Mayor <br />Crepeau appointed Harold Bradford as Chairman and Marjorie Erickson <br />as a member of the Board of Appeals for 1974. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN STAN OLMEN - Finance <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN CHARLES CRICHTON - Publi~ Works, Ordinance <br />Review <br /> <br />UnderQround Utilities Committee Appointment <br />Upon recommendation of the Public Works Committee, Mayor Crepeau, <br />with approval of the Council, appointed Public Works Committee member <br />Richard Schultek to serve with Building Inspector Larry Squires and <br />VIllage Engineer Oon Lund on the Underground Utilities Committee. <br /> <br />Bids - I-ton Truck with Plow <br />Cr~rchton reviewed th'ablds received for the I-ton truck with plow, <br />advising that MIdway Chevrolet was the lOw-bidder, but did not meet <br />specifications. They did not submit a bid bond, did not Indicate <br />type of plow In bid and did not include fold-down sides. <br /> <br />Crichton moved, seconded by Wingert, that the Council award the bid to <br />MldwdY Ford, minus the radio, at a cost of $6620. Motion carried <br />unanimOUSly. <br /> <br />Re~mbursement.ReQuests for Sewer gonnectlon ~~st5: <br />J. 'iqore - Crichton reported that Mr. MOQre;s request for <br />$245.00 included $170.00 costs which Mr. Moore paid for addi- <br />tional work, plus $75.00 for his own time and labor. <br /> <br />After diSCUSSion, Crichton moved that Council approve reimburse- <br />ment of $170.00 to Mr. Moore. Motion was seconded by Wingert <br />and .carried unanimously. <br /> <br />~. ROlllng~ - Crichton explained that the sewer contractor <br />had not installed a sewer stu~ at Mr. ROllinger's property, as <br />indicated on the plans; additional time spent searching for the <br />stub was 3i to 4 hrs @ S25.00/hr. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />After dISCussion, CrIchton moved, seconded by Wingert, that <br />-~he Council approve the. reimbursement of $100.00 to Mr. Rollin- <br />ger for his added expenditures. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Crlchton reported that the PUblic Works Committee recommends that the <br />Coune! I rofer this matter to the Village Attorney to advise on action <br />that could be taken to recover these costs from the contractor, and <br />to determlne the Village Engineer's responsibility; aSking the Attorney <br />for his recommendatIons for prevention of these sItuations In the <br />fu.j"!J f~e.. <br /> <br />After diSCUSSion, Crichton agreed to contact Attorney Lynden and Engineer <br />Lund In an effort to correct procedures to resolve this problem. <br /> <br />ClArk Administrator McNlesh was requested to advise Mr. Moore and Mr. <br />Ro!;! ;lger of the COUtle!
