Lambros Ditch Project - Bids EngIneer Lund reported the results of the Lambros Ditch Project Bid Opening, advising that Northdale Construction Company Is the apparent low bidder, after checking the bids. Engineer Lund reviewed the hreakdown on the three low bidders and recommended that the Counel! award the bid to the low bidder, North- ~ dale Construction Company. The ramifications of possibly changing the project to rock rip-rap ware discussed, but It was determined that this might delay the project another year. Two bids received in the mall, after the bid opening, were opened, read and checked by Engineer Lund: Orvedehl Construction Co. REPORT OF TREASURER RICHARD O'KELLY Absent - no report. REPORT OF COUNCILMAN JAMES WINGERT - Planning and Zoning, Board of Appeals .fu!~-committee Report - Planning Consultant Wingert reported that the Sub-committee, consisting of R. Woodburn, L. McGough, C. Crichton, R. Anderson and J. WIngert, has screened all proposals and IntervIewed most of the applicants, and recom- mends that the Council appoint Nason, Wehrman and Chapman, 1415 Lilac Drive, MInneapolis, as Planning Consultant for Arden Hills for 1974. He said Mr. Otto Schmid would be the Planner assIgned to Arden HI lis, and advised that the contract would be on a tIme and mater}als basis. Wingert referred 'rhe Council to Mr. Schmid's resume. After discussion, Crichton moved, that the Council appoint Nason, Wehrman and Chapman Assoc., Inc. as Planning Consultant for the Village of Arden Hills, as of February 1,1974, and terminate agree- ment for technical advisory service of Richard Shetler Associates, Ltd. in accordance with agreement. Motion was seconded by Feyerelsen. ~H After discussion, Crichton amended his motion as fol lows: ...Councl I appoint Nason, Wehrman and Chapman as Planning Consultant for the Village of Arden Hills 6S of February 1,1914, pending execu- tion of a mutually agreeable contract, and terminate agreement for technical advisory service of Richard Shetler Associates, Ltd. In accordance with agreement. The amended motion was seconded by Feyerelsen and carried unanimously. .!,.9..!!9 Range PI'W Wingert reported that the Planning Commission Is currently reviewing the Comprehensive Plan and reported that Planner Shetler has sub- mitted a revised draft of the Zoning Ordinance to Attorney Lynden for review. -3-
