Lund suggesTed That <br />Arden HI lis express its position re the matTer at that time. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Wingert moved, seconded by Feyerelsen, that the Councl I direct <br />Attorney Lynden to drafT a resolution stating that Arden Hills favors <br />the transfer of the ditch system to the Rice Creek Watershed District; <br />notice to be forwarded to the Ramsey County Board prior to the Febru- <br />ary 4, 1974 hearing. Motion carried unanlmoulsy. <br /> <br />Aerial Maps <br />Engineer Lund reported that the aerials cover about 3150 acres; costing <br />about $4.72/acre (excluding lake area). He said municipalities make <br />various charges for aerials, ranging from $1.00 to $5.00/acre for prints. <br />He estimated reproduction costs at from 50t to $1.00 for a 22"x34" <br />print (coVers approximately 120 acres). <br /> <br />The Councl I requested that the copyright be registered by the Village. <br />and Feyereisen moved that the Counci I establish a charge of $4.00/acre <br />to private bodies and $I.OO/acre to public bodies. Motion fal led for <br />lack of a second. <br /> <br />WI ngert moved that the Council estab Ii sh a charge to any requester of <br />$4.00/acre, reduced charges to be at the discretion of the Councl I. <br />Motion was seconded by Olmen. <br /> <br />In discussion, It was noted that developers may want to make copies <br />and may request repr.oduclble prints, Instead of blue-line prints. <br /> <br />Wingert withdrew his motion and Olmen withdrew his second. <br /> <br />Wingert moved that the Councl I temporarily offer the maps for sale at <br />$4.00/acre, with the understanding that the purchaser may make working <br />copies for his own use; no copies to be sold or transferred to a third <br />party. Olmen second~d the motion and The motion carried (Wingert, <br />Crichton, Olmen voting In favor; Feyerelsen voting In opposition). <br /> <br />The Councl I deferred the determination of a permanent charge for the <br />aerial maps, to the Council meeting of January 28, 1974. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER RICHARD O'KELLY <br /> <br />Treasurer O'Kelly reported the cash balances In the three banks, and <br />advised that no Investments have been made since the last Councl I <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. O'Kelly reported Interest actually collected on Investments In <br />1972 aT $30,168.09, and In~erest actually col lec~ed On Investments In <br />1973 a~ $68,681.70 (not adjus~ed for accruals on Investments held and <br />maturing In ~he following year). <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN JAMES WINGERT - Planning and Zoning <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Case No. 73-39, I. C. S.,.stems - Amended Site and Landscape Plans <br />Mr. Erickson and Mr. Walsh werepresant, representing I. C. Systems, <br />and described the amended site plan and landscape plan for the I. C. <br />Systems office building. <br /> <br />Wingert reported that the Planning Commission recommends Councl I approval <br />of the Issuance of the building permit, based on the amended site and <br />landscape plans, dated January 3, 1974. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />Mr. Wingert advised thpt the Parks and Recreation Committee has also <br />approved the amended landscape plan.
