<br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - MARCH 3 I. 1997 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Malone moved and Keirn seconded a motion to adopt Resolution #97-14, <br />Adopting Final Assessment Roll, except for those with written objections, and <br />based upon the rates agreed upon in Resolution #97-13. The motion carried <br />unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Malone moved and Keirn seconded a motion to adopt Resolution #97-15, <br />Adopting Final Assessment Roll, except for those with written objections, and <br />based upon the rates agreed upon in Resolution #97-13. The motion carried <br />unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Malone moved and Keirn seconded a motion to accept the appeal of John & <br />Esther McClung to change the assessment measurement to 217.15 feet, as <br />recommended by the City Engineer; to accept the appeal of George Reiling, and <br />change his assessment measurement from 846 feet to 505.99 feet, based upon the <br />recommendation of the City Engineer; and to change the assessment rate for 1519 <br />Colleen Avenue to 75% reclamation and 25% overlay, as recommended by the <br />City Engineer. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst requested clarification that the revised figures were correct. Mr. Maurer stated the <br />revised figures were correct. <br /> <br />. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone stated several of the appeals pertain to comer lot assessments, and <br />suggested these be held over to the next regular City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone stated Edward Robinson of 1370 Colleen Avenne has requested that his <br />property consisting of two lots be treated as a comer lot. Councilmember Malone suggested <br />calculating this assessment on that basis. He inquired if the second lot is buildable. Mr. <br />Fritsinger stated it appears the pond encroaches into the property. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hicks inquired ifthis lot was originally platted as buildable. Mr. Maurer replied <br />that it had been. <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone stated there is a considerable amount of water on this property, and <br />stated that about 150 total feet of front footage was a reasonable amount. He stated he wishes to <br />accept this appeal. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Malone moved and Aplikowski seconded a motion to accept Edward Robinson's <br />appeal, and change the front footage measurement from 211.54 feet to 150.00 <br />feet, because of the substantial amount of water on the second lot. <br />
