He indicated the owner would like the City to be open to allow this <br />investigation and he feels this is a reasonable request according to the agreement, He also noted <br />the new owner is planning to close within a week to ten days, <br /> <br />Mr. Fritsinger advised that staff recommends the Council authorize execution of the agreement <br />with Anthony Andersen and Frank Rekuski detailing the abatement onl71 and 3183 North <br />Lexington Avenue, subject to minor changes approved by the City Attorney, <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone moved and Councilmember Keirn seconded a motion to <br />authorize execution of the agreement with Anthony Andersen and Frank Rekuski <br />detailing the abatement onl71 and 3183 North Lexington Avenue, subject to <br />minor changes approved by the City Attorney, The motion carried unanimously <br />(5-0), <br /> <br />F. Proclamation, City Employee, Cynthia Walsh <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Councilmember Keirn moved and Councilmember Aplikowski seconded a motion <br />to approve the proclamation for City Employee, Cynthia Walsh. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst read the proclamation and expressed his appreciation to Ms. Walsh for her years of <br />service to the City of Arden Hills. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously (5-0), <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mr, Fritsinger stated there have been on-going talks with US West regarding the antennas they <br />have constructed. He indicated the antennas have been put up without meeting certain <br />requirements and US West does not want to remove them because, as US West claims, they don't <br />want to lose this portion of their market. <br /> <br />Mr. Fritsinger indicated staff: along with Attorney Filla, will be meeting with US West attorneys <br />and their officials Thursday of this week. The items to be discussed are the removal of the <br />antennas and a proposal by US West for a replacement monopole. <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone suggested placement of the antennas on an existing billboard. <br /> <br />Mr, Fritsinger indicated this could be addressed when discussing options. <br /> <br />Mr. Ringwald noted a related issue in which there have been numerous conversations with the <br />owner of the property and there are issues needing to be dealt with such as a trail on the north <br />side of the property and the storage of items sucb as trailers. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst asked if these issues raised a public safety concern with the tower. <br />
