Motion carried <br />unan I mous Iy. <br /> <br />(Approval was made with the understanding that no varIances wIll <br />be consIdered.) <br /> <br />Case No. 77-34, Lot Spilt and Consolidation - Harold W. Riley, Jr. <br />Miller referred Council to his report, and to a survey Indicating <br />the proposed spIlt of a 40'wlde parcel of land; subsequent two (2) <br />parcels to be consolidated with the adjacent lots. Miller reported <br />that the Planning Commission recommends approval of the request. <br /> <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council approve the lot <br />spilt and consolidations as per survey submitted. Motion carrIed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Case No. 77-32. Lot Spl It and Consolidation - Alex Chvestulk <br />Miller referred CouncIl to hIs report and a sketch of the proposed <br />lot spilt and consolidation; noted that rear 289' Is to be con- <br />solidated with the Milton property; reported that the Planning <br />Commission recommends approval of the request. <br /> <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by WIngert, that Council approve the lot <br />spilt and consolidation requested contIngent upon receipt of the <br />required survey. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Case No. 77-35. Variance - Elmer L. Andersen <br />MIller referred Council to his report and to the Planning Commis- <br />sion recommendatIons (Minutes of MeetrnJ of 7-5-77) to approve <br />the 8' front setback variance for a house to be located. on two <br />. lots on Bussard Court cul-de-sac. <br /> <br />WIngert moved that Council approve the 8' front variance, on the <br />basis that the house will align with houses on the adjoining lots <br />along the street, and on the basis of loss of tress and extreme <br />grading If house Is sited at the 40' setback line. Motion was <br />seconded by Hanson. <br /> <br />In dIscussion, Woodburn noted that the trees may be lost anyway due <br />to excavation disturbance; contour map indicates nouse can be sited <br />at 40' setback lIne wIthout extensive gradIng. <br /> <br />Crichton stated that he cannot see the merit of lining this house <br />up with the existing house on the cul-de-sac; should not approve a <br />variance If a hardship does not exist. <br /> <br />Motion did not carry (Crepeau, Hanson voting In favor of the motion; <br />Crichton, Woodburn, Wingert voting In oppositIon). <br /> <br />-4- <br />
