People will continue to use the street, whether <br />. It Is Improved or not; more hazardous as It Is - not adequate shoulders. <br /> He suggested that a 4-lane road, not striped, would be acceptable, per- <br /> haps; drivers usually use this type of roadway as a single lane each <br /> way, except during rush hour traffic. <br /> Wingert acknowledged that there is some urgency to decide, but sugges- <br /> ted that a roadway bul It to dlfferent~andards than presented would sti II <br /> qualify for turn -back funds. <br /> In discussion of speed, it was noted that proposed road Improvement is <br /> designed for 40 mph traffic. Rosevllle has given conceptual <br /> , <br /> approval and authorized preparation of plans and specifications which <br /> will lead to a publiC hearing. C.r.i ch ton moved, seconded by Crepeau, that Counc II give concept approval <br /> of plans from Harriet to Highway 96, provided that the County give con- <br /> sideration to cliff on west side of Lexington at Victoria; suggest <br /> County re-examine Shorevlew and Arden Hills resolutions re The area <br /> between County Road 0 to Harriet before proceeding with plans and speci- <br /> fications.
