Arden HI I Is/Shoravlew Agreement re County Road F Storm Piping <br /> Chr I stoffersen referred Counc II to proposed Agreement, and attached <br /> Drainage Boundary Map (Exhibit B), between Shorev I ew and Arden H I II s <br /> re storm drain Improvement (County Road F Improvement a portIon of <br /> Improvement P-SS-W-ST 75-1, S.A.D. 187 -I 0 I -0 I ) . <br /> Christoffersen noted that ~ttached map conforms with the Rice Creek <br /> Watershed Map, Indicating that approximately 65 acres wi II drain <br /> from Shorevlew Into Arden Hills (45 acres, north of County Road F <br /> # ~o ac res south of County Road F); 36 n pipe proposed will carry <br /> Shorevlew flow and drain the intersection. <br /> Crichton displayed a map of water areas, preparej by Rice Creek <br /> Watershed about two years ago. Ch r I stoffersen s~id that Shorevlew <br /> has not changed the direction of drainage i n rec~nt years and wll I <br /> not a II ow additional run-off to occur beyond acr~age shown on the <br /> map; Shorevlew wants assurance they can use the pipe I f they pay for <br /> the I r share. <br /> Christoffersen noted the following alternatives, as he sees It: <br /> I. Bull d storm sewer for Arden Hills only. <br /> 2. Build storm sewer for Arden Hills and Shoreview. <br /> 3. Don't build storm sewer at all. <br /> 4. Build larger storm sewer now and pursue drainage agreement with <br /> Shorevlew. <br /> In discussion, It was noted that approval from property owners should <br /> be obtained In order to Increase flow over property not owned by City. <br /> It was noted that whether culvert runs under F 01" under Lexington, <br /> length of easement across Reiling property is about the same. <br /> Christoffersen recommended that some type of dra n be Installed at <br /> the County Road F ILex I ngi"on Intersection; Shoraview has agreed to <br /> the C.A. financing method; should know this week what size pipe to <br /> Install. <br /> After discussion re costs of various sized pipe fnstallatdJons, Wood- 1 <br /> burn moved, seconded by Wingert, that Counc i I authorize the Instal- <br /> lation of the larger 36" pipe at Lexington and County Road F, as <br /> indicated by Engineer; Arden Hil Is to proceed with an agreement with <br /> Shorevlew In which they be Invited to participate In the cost of the <br /> Installation per paragraph 4 of IEnglneerJs letter of 10/4/76 when <br />. downstream drainage to 1-694 is constructed, and to offer their part- <br /> Icipation at that time on the C.A. basis on drainage between 1-694 <br /> and County Road F.
