<br />Minutes of Regular Councl I Meeting <br />Page th ree <br /> <br />Ju 1'1 26, 1976 <br /> <br />REPORT OF BUILDING INSPECTOR LARRY SQUIRES <br /> <br />Deputy Building Inspector <br />Squires referred Council to his memo of 7/23/76 re appointment of Deputy <br />Building Inspector. After discussion, Mayor Crepeau appointed Gunnar <br />Pettersen as Deputy Building Inspector to assume Squires duties during <br />his absence for vacation, illness etc. <br /> <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Feyerelsen, that Council ratify the Mayor's <br />appointment of Gunnar Pettersen as Deputy Building Inspector. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />Resolution No. 76-33, Resolution Providing for Hearing on the Proposed <br />Assessment for Indian Oaks 2 Addition Improvement <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Crichton, that Council adopt Resolution <br />No. 76-33, RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br />FOR INDIAN OAKS 2 ADD!TION IMPROVEMENT. Motion carried (Woodburn, <br />Crichton, Crepeau, Wingert voting in favor of the motion; Feyerelsen <br />abstaining) . <br /> <br />Resolution No. 76-34 - Abatement of Taxes Against Hazelnut Park <br />Crichton moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council adopt Resolution <br />No. 76-34, RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CLERK ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE AND <br />FILE APPLICATION FOR ABATEMENT OF REAL ESTATE TAXES DUE IN 1976 <br />AGAINST HAZELNUT PARK. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Little Crow Addition <br />Marcus Schmidt and Marlyn Tramm (MarOon Homes), owners of Little Crow <br />Addition, requested that the City install street, sewer and water to <br />the plat, costs to be assessed to the benefitted lots. Schmidt noted <br />that he owns lot I which is served by utilities from County Road E; <br />concurs with Mr. Tramm's application for road and uti lity construction <br />by the City. <br /> <br />After discussion, Feyerelsen moved, seconded by Crichton, that Council <br />adopt Resolution No. 76-35, RESOLUTION ORDERING FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR <br />SEWER, WATER AND STREET CONSTRUCTION IN LITTLE CROW ADDITION. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />(It was noted that application inCludes request to Install bituminous, <br />Instead of concrete, curb. Engineer was requested to address this <br />question also.) <br /> <br />Letter from Town Crier Editor - July 20, 1976 <br />Council was referred to letter from Town Crier Editor Jan Hollenhorst. <br /> <br />After discussion, Feyerelsen moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council <br />authorize reimbursement of $233.75 for actual hours worked. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />(It was noted by Council that actual hours be reported henceforth; <br />consideration be given to 10 Issues/year, combining issues during slack <br />times.) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Proposed Land Owner Letter <br />Council was referred to re-wrlte of proposed letter to landowners of <br />residentially zoned properties in Arden Hills. <br /> <br />After review, letter was approved as amended, and McNlesh was authorized <br />to send letter to owners of undeveloped residential land as listed; <br />letter to be signed by Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 193 <br />Council discussed enforcement of Ordinance 193 and apparent lack of <br />sl9nage, advising of the ordinance regulations. <br /> <br />Crepeau noted that perhaps staggered patrolling of the park, during day <br />and night shifts will accomplish the enforcement needed. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
