<br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br />Page four <br /> <br />procedure outlined in memo, If the need for the ban is determined. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />June I, 1976 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />McNamee Letter of 5/21/76 <br />McNiesh was requested to refer matter TO Engineer Christoffersen <br />for his '''casual observation" as to what can be done, and rough <br />estimates of costs - not a full Engineering report; McNamee to be <br />invited to attend Jcne 21 Council Meeting when Engineer will be <br />present. <br /> <br />Hlqhway Department Letter of 5/6/76 Re Highway Easement Coverinq T.H. 51 <br />McNlesh was requested to refer matter to Attorney Lynden to advise <br />state of Minnesota Department of Highways of Arden Hi lis desire to <br />acquire the easement area abutting Cummings Park and to request cost <br />of acquisition. <br /> <br />Letter Re Stowe Avenue - 5/26/76 <br />McNlesh was requested to ask CounTY to re-name entire street Stowe <br />Avenue (New Brighton Road to Cleveland, and to notify New Brighton <br />of The request to see If this re-naming of the 4th Avenue section wi II <br />present any prOblems. <br /> <br />Lexinqton Avenue DrainaQe <br />Woodburn reported on meeting with County and state Highway Departments <br />re drainage on Lexington Avenue; if Village wants drainage study, <br />should be done now whi Ie funding Is available - suggested a joint <br />powers agreement with Shoreview would be necessary; County has <br />funds to wide~ Lexington (County Road E to Highway 96); County <br />requests '16i' easement and a to I tr-i ang I e at Grey Fox Road, adjacent <br />to Gould property. <br /> <br />Crepeau advised he was told by County to advise Goulds that there <br />would be no assessment If these easements are given to the County; <br />he has so advised Goulds. <br /> <br />McFarland Letter re Aquatic Weed Control <br />McNlesh was requested to send copies of tetter from Keith McFarland <br />to members of the Councl I. <br /> <br />Fireworks Display Permit <br />Feyereisen moved, seconded by Wingert, that Counci 1 approve Issuance <br />of a Fireworks Display Permit on July 4, 1976, to North Lake <br />Josephine Improvement Association. Motion carried. (Feyereisen, <br />Wingert, Crepeau, Crichton voting in favor of the motion; Woodburn <br />abstaining.) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Baseball Diamonds - Joint Powers Aqrecment <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Feyereisen, that Council approve Joint <br />Powers Agreement Regarding Use of Independent School District No. <br />621 Bal I Fields, aa submitted; authorizing its execution by the <br />Mayor and Clerk Administrator. Mo1'ion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ZonlnQ Ordinance Review <br />Council referred to memo of 5/27/76, ollti ining Pending Re-:,wrltes TO <br />Proposed Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />Crichton referred to page 4-27 O. Appeals and proposed that 0, Appeals <br />I. 2. and 3. be deleted from page 4-27, and proposed that C. Powers <br />(p. 4-24) be revised as follows: <br />Last two sentences of paragraph no. 2 be inserted as no. 4. <br />"The findings and determinations of the Board (delete~on <br />variancei) shal I be advisary ....". <br /> <br />(Paragraph I had previously been amended by deleting "and <br />decide" in first line, and by adding "and reporT its findings <br />and determinations to the Counci I for its action." to the end <br />of the sentence). <br /> <br />Council agreed to these changes as presented. <br />
