Planner to get Informa- <br />tion from Northwestern College, Rosevllle, City Engineer for Planning <br />Commission consideration. <br /> <br />. OTHER BUS! NESS <br /> <br />Public Safety Committee Minutes: <br /> <br />Proposed Stop Sign <br />Councl I concurred wlth Public Safety Committee's recommendation that <br />a stop sign at County Road F and Hamllne Avenue would be dangero~$. <br />Crichton suggested that perhaps another Hamllne Avenue stop sign loca- <br />tIon might help to slow traffic on Hamllne. No Counci I action was <br />taken. <br /> <br />Police Reserve TraIning Course <br />Councl I expressed concern re reserve officers working prior to <br />approval of regulations; also that firearms were purchased _ had <br />understood reserve officers would not handle fire arms. <br /> <br />Lake Johanna Boulevard - Blind Approach <br />Council noted that a bush on property at northwest corner of Lake <br />Lane and Johanna Boulevard Impedes vision of motorists onto Johanna <br />Boulevard. Matter was referred to Johansen to determine whether <br />bush location vlolatEls ordinance requirements; if so, to pursue Its <br />remova I . <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINiSTRATOR C~ARLOTTE MCN!ESH <br /> <br />Approval of Employment of Frederick Bell - CETA Park Maintenance <br />Feyerelsen moved, seconded by Wingert, thaT Council confirm the employ- <br />ment approval of Frederick Bel I as a CETA Park Maintenance employee, <br />previously approved In a poll of the Council, effective May 7,1976, <br />at $4.50/hour. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Claims and Payroll <br />Crichton noted that he would check #7030 and #7093 with Parks Director <br />and report to Council. McNiesh reported that insurance agent Wm. Hite <br />has been requested to submit premium costs for pole I ights coverage <br />(Freeway Park, Mounds View High school tennis courts and Perry Park). <br /> <br />Crichton moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Council approve the Claims <br />and Payroll, as submitted. Motl0n carried unanimously. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />McNlesh requested Counci I approval of an additional claim (not listed <br />on May Claims) in the amount of $3,538.52 for fill of City gasoline <br />tank. <br /> <br />Crichton move~ seconded by Wingert, that Council authorize payment <br />to Ashland Petroleum Company in the amount of $3,538.52. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />List of Undeveloped Acreage in Arden Hills <br />Woodburn suggested that Councl I Bend a lett~r to property owners of <br />undeveloped resldentiill lands, advising them of anticipated limited <br />use of lands, and aftElr di scussion, Woodburn agreed to draft letter <br />for Council 's consideration. <br /> <br />County Road F Improvement <br />Mr. George Rei ling and representatives of several of the property <br />owners abutting County Road F (between Lexington Avenue and Hamline <br />Avenue) questioned the advisability of procedlng with the improvement <br />of County Road F at this time, prior to known use of the properties; <br />only need maintenance of this road at this time. <br /> <br />-4- <br />
