The original motion <br /> carried (Johnson, McAllister, Woodburn voting in favor; Ho llenhors t <br /> voting in opposition. <br /> In furthe r exp lana tion, Johnson in terpre ted a"durab le barrie r" to <br /> be a new du rable fence with steel posts in concrete, which would <br /> support visual screening without bending in the wind, preferably <br /> wood, or chain link with enameled steel or wood slats. <br /> Authorization to Execute Contract Amend..nt, 1980-81 Local . <br /> PlanninR Assiatance Grant <br /> Hollenhorst moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council authorize <br /> execution by the Mayor of the 2nd Amendment to Grant Agreement <br /> Between The Metropolitan Council And The City of Arden Hills <br /> (Contract No. 78140) chsnging the smount of the grant. Motion <br /> carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> OTHER BUSINESS <br /> Park Dedication Payment Schedule, Arden Oaks Plst <br /> Council wss referred to letter of 10-27-81 from Derrick Land Co., <br /> accepting the $7,000.00 psrk dedication obligation in addition to <br /> the 1.4 acre dedicated psrk, and outlining proposed schedule of <br /> payment. <br /> After discussion, McAllister moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, that <br /> Council accept the payment sched"le of $3500 in January 1983 and <br /> $3500 in January 198. (total $7000) in addi tion to the 1.4 acre <br /> park as full satisfaction of the Arden Oaks park dedication. <br /> Johnson moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, to smend the motion to <br /> charge 10% interest on the unpaid balance starting Jsnuary 1983, <br /> p ayab le 1984. The amendment to the motion csrried unanimously. <br /> (4-0). The original motion carried unanimously (4-0) . <br /> Developer Laughinghouse adVised that the law now requires re cord- <br /> ing of plats within 1 yesr of approval. It was noted that the <br /> Arden Hills Code requires recording of the Final Plat within 60 <br /> daya of approval thereof. (Recording time to be verified by City <br /> Attorney) . <br /> Request for Six-Month Time Extension for FilinR Final Plat of <br /> Janet Estates Amended Subdivision Belair Builders, Inc. <br /> McAllister moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, that Council approve <br /> the requested 6-month time extension for fUing the Final Plat of <br /> Janet Estates Amended Subdivision, from December 8, 1981 to June <br /> 8, 1982. <br /> After discussion, McAllister moved, seconded by Hollenhorst to <br /> tab le the motion. Motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> Request to Replace Snowplow on Truck No. 4 . <br /> Council was referred to Johansen's memo of 11-5-81 re plow re- <br /> placemen t 14 truck. <br /> Johnson moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council approve the <br /> purchase of the plow at a cost of $900.00 as requested. <br /> Motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER DONALD LAMB <br /> (absent) <br /> Investments <br /> McNiesh reported the follOWing investments by Treasurer Lamb: <br /> 10-30-81 - $100,000 at Oak Park Heights at 15.25 % <br /> interest to mature January 28, 1982. <br /> -4- <br /> , <br />
