Miller noted that both lots are developed and both exceed the minimum area and dimensional requirements before and after the proposed split and consolidation. Hollenhorst moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council approve the lot split and consolidation as requested (Case No. 81-2l). Motion carried unanimously,(4-0). Control Data Cooling Towers - Buildin~ Permit Procedure Council was referred to plans of an additional cooling tower proposed west of the main Control Data building which would have a "foot print" of about 28' x 2l' and a height of 20'. . Miller noted that strict application of the ordinance requires review by the Planning Commission and Council; queried how significant Council considers the additional tower (7 existing on the site). In discussion, Dean Nelson (CDC) said the proposed tower does not encroach on a traffic lane; will be set back 15'+. The general concensus of Council was that the proposed cooling tower is a fairly standard structure representing an expansion of the existing cooling tower capacity, and does not signifi- ca ntly change the site plan. Council authorized issuance of the Building Permit (4-1 concensus). I' Case No. SO-20, Evenson Office Buildin~ A. Landscape Plan and Bond Council was referred to the landscape plan which Miller reported consists of more plant material than the previously submitted concept. Miller recommended its approval, and established the Performance Bond at $lS,170 (125% of the Contract amount). Wingert moved, seconded ~y Hollenhorst, that Council approve the Evenson landscape plan, dated 7-l3-Sl, subject to receipt of a Per- formance Bond in the amount of $18,170. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). B. Temporary Occupancy Permit for 2.400 Sq. Ft. Council was referred to request for a partial occupancy permit for 2,400 sq. ft. of the Evenson Office Building. After discussion, Wingert moved, seconded by Johnson, that Council approve partial occu- pancy of 2,400 sq. ft. of the Evenson Office Building effective July 15th, contingent on resolutiOn of the park dedication. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). . Case No. 81-19, Lot Split and Consolidation and Rezoning from R-I to B-2, Fridley Medical Center, P.A. COl,lncil was referred to Planning memo of 6-26-81 and ~to ~transpar- encies of attached drawings of the proposed consolidation of 3 _ acreli to the existing 4~.37 acre parcel at the southwest corner ,-<If Snelling Avenue and Highway 96, to accommodate a medical facility consisting of a medical clinic, out-patient services, emergency services, offices for specialists and'medically related commercial us.es (pharmacy,' optical, etc.). . -2- ~
