. Minutes of Regular Council Meeting July 13, 1981 . Park Dedication A. Arden Hills Corporate Center - 5.6 Acres 8ased on a purchase price estimate of $30,OOO/acre, McAllister recommended Council approval of $12,960.00, plus a 20' wide strip of land along the westerly property line (20' x 278.6') as satisfaction of the park dedication requirements; payable 1/3 at occupancy of each of the first three buildings; total payable in 2 yesrs. Wingert moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, that Council sccept the 20' wide land dedication and $12,960.00 cash- payment as outlined, as full satisfsction of the park dedication requirements of Arden Hills Corporate Center. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). ll. Evenson Office 8uilding - 5.2 Acres McAllister .reported that, based on the $270,000 cost figure, she recommends Council approval of a $27,000 park dedication; $5,000 now at occupancy of the 2,400 sq. ft. portion of the building, and the balance in 90 days. Wingert moved, seconded by Johnson, that Council accept the $27,000 as full satisfaction of the Evenson Office 8uilding park de~ication, as outlined. Motion carried unanimously (5~OJ. Public Works - OJT Student, Summer Employment Council was referred to memo from Johansen (7-9-81). Wingert moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, that Council authorize the hiring of 8rian Thunborg as an OJT Student employee in the Public Works Department at $3.25/hr effective July 15,:1981. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). Youth Soccer Instructors Council was referred to memo from Buckley (7-10-81). McAllister moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council authorize the hiring of the Youth Soccer Instructors as listed in Buckley's memo of July 10th. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). (It was noted that, in the future, Council approval of hiring personnel should be in advance of the program.) Finance Committee Recommendations - License snd Permit Fees Council Was referred to Minutes of the Finance Committee meeting of 7-9-81 and to Sub-committee memo of 6-10-81. . Council discussed the recommended changes; noted thst the licen8e and permit fees are intended to recuperate expenses, not a means of rai8ing money; deferred action until a later meeting. Council concurred that review of fees every other year was too often, every five years more reasonable.
