<br />. <br /> <br />Mlnutes of Regular Council Meetlng <br /> <br />May 26, 1981 <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 218 - Flood Plain Management <br />Planner Miller referred Council to amended draft of Ordinance No. <br />218, FLOOD PLAIN MANAGEMENT OIDINANCE, CITY OF AIDEN HILLS, <br />MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />Miller noted that the city may make more restrictive requirements, <br />lf it desires, but cannot be less restrictive than the state <br />standards (Minn, Iegs. NI 85-93), Miller noted that the Section <br />on Subdivisions should eventually be included in the Subdivision <br />Ordlnance when it is amended. <br /> <br />Hollenhorst moved to diapense with the final reading of Ordinance <br />No, 218. Motion was seconded by McAlliater and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Johnson moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, that Council adopt Ordi~ <br />nance No. 218, Floodplain Management Ordinance, as amended, Motion <br />carried unanimously, <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER DONALD LAMB <br /> <br />Investment <br />$273,510.33 at American National Bank for 90 days, to mature <br />August 24, 1981 @ 17.50% interest, <br /> <br />McAllister moved to ratify the Treasurer's report. Motion was <br />seconded by Hollenhorst and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Approval lor Construction of Gabions at Tony Schmidt Park by <br />Ramsey County Public Work. Dept, <br />Council was referred to plans dated 5-7-81 of proposed Lake <br />Johanna Gabion Construction. <br /> <br />McNiesh reported that the City Engineer has reviewed the plans <br />and sees no prOblems with the proposed construction, <br /> <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, that Council approve <br />the Lake Johanna Gabion construction as per plan submitted (5-7- <br />81). Hotion carried unanimously, <br /> <br />Revision of 1981 VillaRe Appointments <br />Mayor Woodburn made the following appointments <br />Village appointments: <br /> <br />amending the 1981 <br /> <br />Acting Mayor - James Wingert <br />Joint Fire Protection Board Repreaentative <br />Alternate <br />iCS Contracting Cities Representative - <br />Alternate - <br /> <br />- Maurice Johnson <br />Robert Woodburn <br />Robert Woodburn <br />Maurice Johnson <br /> <br />Hollenhorat moved to approve the appointments made by Hayor <br />Woodburn, Hotion was seconded by Johnson and carried unanimously, <br /> <br />Iesolution No. 81-35, Amending Resolution No, 81-3 by Changing <br />Officers Authorized to Sign Checks for the City of Arden Hills <br />Hollenhorst moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council approve <br />Reaolution No, 81-35, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO, 81-3 BY CHANGING <br />OFFICERS AUTHORIZED TO SIGN CHECKS FOR THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS. <br />. Motion carried unanimously, <br /> <br />Public Works Committee Recommendations <br />Council was referred to Johansen's memo of 5-20-81, <br /> <br />Summer Employees <br />After discussion, McAlliater moved, seconded by Johansen, that <br />Council approve the summer employment of Steve Zehm and Todd <br />Langenbach @ $6.00/hour and Ross Collier @ $3,75/hour as outlined <br />in Johansen's memo. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />City Hall E&terior Painting <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Hollenhorst that Council approve the <br />exteriO~~ng of the City Hall at $1440,00, Motion did not <br />carry (l ~, Hollenhorst voting in favor of the motion; <br />Johnson, ~~ voting in opposition. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
