<br />Purchaae of Sand BlaatinR Equipment
<br />After discussion re rental vs purchase, it was moved by Johnaon,
<br />aeconded by HOllenhorat, that Council approve the purchase of the
<br />sand blaating equipment from Equipment Sales and Service at
<br />$1683,00. Motion carried unanimoualy,
<br />
<br />Hamline Avenue Striping
<br />McAllister moved, seconded by Johnson, that Council authorize the
<br />atriping of Hamline Avenue for safety purposes, from County Road
<br />F to Highway 96. Motion carried unanimously.

<br />Hollenhorst moved, seconded by McAllister, that June Council meet-

<br />Council was referred to McNiesh's memo of 5-20-81.

<br />Johnson moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, that Council approve the
<br />leava of absence for Donna Hjortaas from June 12th to September
<br />10th, and approve the employment of Florence Honan on a temporary
<br />baaia at $5,15/hour aa per McNi8Sh's memo, Motion carried unan-
<br />imously,

<br />Improvement Association
<br />McAlliater moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, that Council approve
<br />iaauance of a Fireworks Display Permit to the North Lake Josephine

<br />Ramsey County League of Local Governments
<br />Hollenhorst referred Council to her memo 01 5-21-81 and attached
<br />liat of auggestions for RCLLG meetings; asked Council'a comments.

<br />Public Safety
<br />Johnaon reported that there will be a "follow up" meeting Wednea-
<br />day, May 27th with Chatham residents to review conditiona in the
<br />area.

<br />Parka
<br />Trinity Lutheran Church Parking Agreement
<br />McAllister reported that the Trinity Lutheran Church agreement is
<br />pending execution by the church; anticipatea it will be forwarded .
<br />to the city this week.
<br />
<br />Park Employee
<br />Council was referred to memo from Buckley (5-26-81) requesting
<br />approval of the employment of Andy Sorensen to work 40 hours/
<br />week until he starts with the summer playground program on June
<br />18th; Sorensen to replace Mark Gray who will not be able to work
<br />until June 15th because of back injury,
<br />
<br />McAlliater moved, seconded by Johnson, that Council spprove the
<br />hiring of Andy Sorensen @ $3.50/hour as outlined in Buckley'a
<br />me.o. Motion carried unanimously,
<br />
<br />McAllister reportad receipt of complaints re dandelions in the
<br />parks, suggested that parka be sprayed at appropriate time of year;
<br />matter referred to Buckley to determine,
<br />
