<br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br /> <br />Jsnuary 26, 1981 <br /> <br />,) <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Committee Recommendations re Park Ordinance <br />Council was referred to list of recommended changes attached to <br />Minutes of 1-13-81. <br /> <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, that the following be <br />added: <br /> <br />3,2, b. (p.3) Nude bathing, wading or swimming is prohibited. <br /> <br />Motion carried (McAllister, Hollenhorst, Johnson voting in fa_or <br />of the motion; Woodburn, Crichton voting in opposition). <br /> <br />3.6 (page 5) and 4.15 (page 11): <br />Council concurred to delete the word "specifically" in both <br />paragraphs. . <br />(page 10) <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Johnson, that the following be added: <br /> <br />4.12.1 no person shall smoke in enclosed structures. <br />carried (McAllister, Johnson, Woodburn votin& in favor of <br />motion; Hollenhorst, Crichton voting in opposition). <br /> <br />Motion <br />the <br /> <br />4.11 <br />Johnson moved to delete the words "while sitting". Motion died <br />for lack of a second. <br /> <br />McAllister moved to amend 4.11 (p.l0) by deleting that portion of <br />the paragraph after the semi-colon and changing the semi-colon to <br />a period, Motion was seconded by Hollenhorst and did not carry <br />(McAllister voting in favor of the motion; Hollenhorst, Johnson, <br />Woodburn, Crichton voting in opposition), <br /> <br />Woodburn suggested that 4.11 be amended by adding "or other groups <br />as may be issued a permit by the Director". Council concurred <br />with this addition. <br /> <br />4.10 c (p. 10) <br />Woodburn moved to add c. to 4.10 (p.l0), No person should lurk or <br />loiter in or around the parking lots. Motion was seconded by <br />Johnson and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Further discussion, relative to the Park Ordinance, was deferred <br />to the next Council meeting. Woodburn referred a "re-work" of <br />the Park Ordinance to Council for consideration. <br /> <br />Public Works Committee Recommendations: <br />A, Painting Water Tower <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Johnson, that Council autho- <br />rize preparation of specifications and advertisement for <br />bids for painting the exterior of the water tower (off <br />white as at present). Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />B. Grey Fox Road <br />Council briefly discussed the recommendation that Grey <br />Fox Road (from Lexington to Hwy. 51) be built to MSA <br />specifications at time of Lexington Ave. up-grade, <br /> <br />Christoffersen was requested to advise Council re appro- <br />priate coordination of the Grey Fox Road improvement with <br />that of Lexington Ave., after he has completed his review <br />of the Lexington Avenue plan proposal. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Council suggested that when joint meeting is scheduled <br />with Shoreview re Lexington/694 drainage, Council would <br />like to meet with Engineer about an hour before joint <br />meeting, <br /> <br />Authorization to Execute Agreement for Maxi Audit Public Works <br />Building <br />Hollenhorst moved, seconded by McAllister that Council authorize <br />the execution of the MaxiAudit Agreement for the Public Works <br />Building, Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />-4- <br />
