<br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br /> <br />January 12, 19.81 <br /> <br />,. <br /> <br />\ <br />\ <br /> <br />In discussion of Newsletter Publication Committee membership, it <br />was noted that the Committee should consist of 4 to 7 .embers <br />(Resolution No. 79-19). <br /> <br />Ho11enhorst moved, seconded by Johnson, that COUDci1 ratify the <br />Mayor's committee appointments. Motion carried (Ho11eohorst, <br />Johnson, Crichton voting in favor of the motion; McAllister, <br />Woodburn voting in opposition). <br /> <br />Human Rights Commission ' <br />Ho1lenhorst reported that the Commission, from time to time; in- <br />cluded 1 or 2 junior members; Commission feels they were valuable <br />members, queried reason Commission does not include appointment of <br />junior members now. <br /> <br />Crich ton explained tha t the ci ty hasn't re ce i ved applications from . <br />junior members recently; previously were appointed to one-year <br />te rms . <br /> <br />1981 Council Liaison Appointments <br /> <br />Cities contractinR with Ramsey County Sheriff <br />Crichton explained that this board has been composed of <br />Mayors of the contracting cities; therefore, asked Council's <br />approval of the appointment changes to Charlie Crichton and <br />Robert Woodburn, instead of Maurice Johnson and Janet <br />Hollenho rat. <br /> <br />MWCC - Hazardous Waste Committee and Sewer Service <br />Advisory Board <br />Crichton appointed Maurice Johnson as liaison to the <br />Hazardous Waste Committee; made no appointment to the <br />Sewer Service Advisory Board, but requested that all <br />correspondence be sent to Robert Woodburn. <br /> <br />County Solid Waste Advisory Council <br />No appointment was made. Crichton noted that any Council <br />.e.ber may apply. <br /> <br />League of Minnesota Cities Board of Trustees Insurance Trust <br />No nomination was made. Crichton suggested thst no Council <br />member appeared to be an sppropriste nomination. <br /> <br />Johnson moved, seconded by McAllister, that <br />Mayor's 1981 Council Liaison appointments. <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Council ratify the <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />1981 Salary Rate for OJT Student <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Johnson that Council approve $3.40/hr., <br />as recommended by Johansen, as the 1981 sslary rate for OJT atudent <br />Ross Collier, effective January 1, 1981. Motion carried unani.ously. <br /> <br />Annual Institute of Building Officials <br />Council was referred to memo from Larry Squires <br /> <br />(1-7-81). <br /> <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by <br />attendance of Larry Squires <br />Officials on January 21, 22 <br />authorized in Squire'a memo. <br /> <br />Johnson, that Council authorize the <br />at the Annual Institute of Building <br />and 23, 1981, and approve paymenta aa <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Authorization to Execute 1981 Agreement with Minneapolis Hide & <br />Tallow Co. <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, that Council authorize <br />execution of the agreement by Arden Hills.
