<br />, <br /> <br />'1 <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Cotmcil Neeting <br />Page Th ree <br /> <br />July 14, 19S0 <br /> <br />Carl Christiansen, 3122 Sborewoad Drive, said surveyor stakes seem <br />to infringe on our properties. <br /> <br />Al Koepp, 3151 Sborewood Drive, said there is an easement west of <br />tbree Sborewood Drive lots; his driveway is on this easement; also <br />said City lift station wires are in this easement. <br /> <br />Lyle ~aker, 3185 Shor~wood Drive, said be tbougbt it had been resolved <br />that there would not be a road in back of our lots; appears Presby- <br />terian Homes is attempting to enforce rights because of encroacbment <br />on tbeir property. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Dave Scaberu, 3167 Sborewood Drive, said bis shed enc~oacbes on the <br />Presbyterian Romes property; there- bave been otber minor encroacb- <br />ments (volley ball net, sailboat, etc.); apparently Presbyterian <br />Homes has changed their minds re neigbborhood use of the Presbyterian <br />Homes properties. <br /> <br />Lyle Baker said the neighborhood wants to live peacefully with and <br />support the mission of Presbyterian Homes. <br /> <br />Council explained that at this time the City is not aware of any <br />Presbyterian Homes plans to further develop tbe site; residents will <br />be notified and Public Hearing beld when further development is <br />contemplated; nothing is proposed at~present. <br /> <br />Katth Lake South - C.W. Houle, Inc., 2% RetainaRe <br />Christoffersen reported only minor clean-Q. work remains; $6,612 <br />(2% tetainage) is adequate for work pending completion. <br /> <br />REPORT OP VILLAGE PLANNER ORLYN MILLER <br /> <br />Ca.e No. SO-14. Pinal Plat - Kenna Addition <br />Council was referred to transparency of Pinal Plat of Kenna Addition <br />alid to recommendations of Planning Commission (Minutes of 7/2/S0) and <br />Engineer Christoffersen (letter of 10/lO!SO). <br /> <br />After discussion, Wingert moved, seconded by Hanson, tbat Council <br />approve the Final Plat of Kenna Addition with the following contingencies: <br /> <br />1. City Engineer's approval of utility plans to serve <br />eacb lot and submission of a performance bond <br />assuring City utilities will be placed as per <br />approved plan, <br /> <br />2. City Attorney's approval of document to be filed <br />with plat, limiting Lot 3 access to Snelling Ave. <br /> <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />(It was noted the park dedication requirement was satisfied by <br />the City not vacating a portion of tbe site). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Case No. SO-19, Preliminary Plat - McClung's Second Addition <br />Council was referred to Preliminary Plat of McClung's Second Addition, <br />whicb has been amended subsequent to the Planning Commission meeting <br />of July 2nd and to tb. Planning Commission's recommendation (Minutea <br />of 7/2/80) and Planner's report of 6/23/80. <br /> <br />In review of the amended Preliminary Plat, Miller noted that Colleen <br />Drive (formerly Arden Vista Drive) has been aligned with Colleen <br />Drive to the south. Miller noted that this street name should be <br />changed to Colleen Avenue as in the Briarknoll plat. Miller noted <br />that Lot 3 has been-recuced in size to 13,500 sq. ft. making it sub- <br />standard 1u area; noted that many lots are substandard in Width <br />(85' and 90') and widening beyond the setback line, wbich, because of <br />spacious size, present no problems regarding density .and separation <br />of bomes. Miller expr~ssed concern ra the relationship and size of <br />Lot 3; had suggested Lots 2, 3 and 4 be redesigned into two lots; <br />reported tbat applicant does not want number of lots reduced. Council <br />expressed concern re the number of substandard lot widtha and the <br />apparent difficulty in development of lots 2, 3 and 4. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
