CASE #91-17 (Cont'd) President Erickson stated the agreement would have been <br /> executed prior to his arrival at the College; advised the <br /> campus is open for use by the City of Arden Hills and is cu=ently utilized by <br /> the City of Roseville. He stated the College offers a full range of water <br /> activities in the summer months which are open to the public. <br /> Planner Bergly stated same other issues have been raised by neighbors of the <br /> College relating to the water use activities during the summer months, He advised <br /> the document located in the City files was not an executed agreement and staff <br /> would research the Park Dedication issue. <br /> President Erickson thanked Council1nembers f= consideration of the application. <br /> CASE #91-18: SIGN Council was referred to Planner Bergly's report and the <br /> IDDIFICATION, DELTA Planning Cannnission minutes dated 10-2-91, relative to <br /> E:NVIRCtMENTAL, 3900 the request for a sign on the Northwoods Office building, <br /> NORI'Hl'KXJDS DRIVE at 3900 Northwoods Drive, from Delta Environmental. <br /> llie Planner reviewed the alternatives listed in his report, relating to <br /> procedures for processing this application, He indicated the Cannnission <br /> considered the alternatives and determined the lllOSt appropriate method appeared <br /> to relate to the use of the I -Flex District regulations when considering this <br /> request, <br /> Bergly noted the five conclusions listed with the Planning Cannnission <br /> rec:oIlllllel"Dation f= approval, which are the basis for their motion. <br /> . Councilmernber Malone questioned if the City would have the ability to enforce the <br /> condition relating to additional signs on the building. <br /> Council was refen-ed to the lease document, which was sul::rnitted by the applicant, <br /> relating to the exclusive "sign face" on the exterior of the building for the <br /> duration of the lease. <br /> Hicks llIOVed, seconded by Malone, to approve Case #91-18, <br /> Modification of standard Sign Regulations for this site, 3900 Northwoods Drive, <br /> for Delta Envirorunental, as allowed in the I-Flex District regulations, based on <br /> and subject to the following: <br /> 1. Delta Environmental would be the largest tenant in the building and presently <br /> occupies 90 percent of the cu=ently leased space. <br /> 2, A tenant directory sign is still permissible at the building entrance. <br /> 3, '!he proposed sign is 35 present of the total sign area permissible on this <br /> face of the building, <br /> 4, '!hat no additional signs be allowed on the north face of the building. <br /> Motion =ied unanimously. (5-0) <br /> CASE #91-19; Council was refen-ed to draft d=ument prepared by <br /> OFFICAL MAP, Planner Bergly and Planning Cannnission minutes dated <br /> SHORELINE LI\NE 10-2-91, relating to the proposed extension of Shoreline <br /> . ElITENSION lane. <br /> The Planner e)(!Jlained the COmmission reviewed the alternative methods for <br /> exterx:li.n;J Shoreline lane and recormnended option #1, a straight extension of the <br /> street, be taken to the public hearing as the proposed future aligrnnent of the <br /> street to be identified on the official ll'ap, <br />
