Mayor Sather suggested a coordinated effort between City staff, Ramsey County Engineerin,J and Sheriff's Deparbnent and Moun::ls view School Officials be planned for fall to aocamplish the items as recommended. A resident suggested that if Council determines the stop signs should be renoved fram Valentine Avenue, another traffic study be corx:iucted to detennine if removal of the signs helps to reduce problems in the area. Public Works SUpervisor Winkel reported the stop signs on Valentine Avenue are replaced on a =ntinuous basis. Mayor Sather asked if Ramsey County needs a fonnal request fram the city for restripin,J County Road F. Engineer Dan Solar irxlicated a copy of the Council minutes outlining the request for restripin,J would be sufficient for the County purposes. Council thanked Ramsey County representatives and residents for attending the meetin,J . . ADOPl' AGElIDA Malone moved, seconded by Growe, to adopt the June 24 Agenda as subnitted. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) Council1nember Malone requested the followin,J amendments to the June 3 and 17 Council minutes: APPROVE MINUI'ES 6/3/91: 6/3/91: Page 2, paragraph 3: to read "... three streets in the area were measured; McClurg, Briarknoll and Royal Hills, and...." Page 2, paragraph 8, second sentence: Change to read "four years" rather than "forty years". 'lWo minor =rrections: Page 1, under City Ia:Jo: "Council =ncurred to use "recycled" paper, rather than "recyclable". Page 2, under Assessment Hearin,J: Council1nember "Mahowald" questioned, rather than Council1nember "Malone". 6-17-91: . Malone moved, seconded by Growe, to approve the Council Minutes of June 3 Special and June 17 Worksession meetin,J, as amended, and June 10 Regular meetin,J as subnitted. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) o:::>NSENI' Council1nember Malone carnmented on item 4 (d), under the CALENDAR Consent CalenJar, relatin,J to the parking ban on North Snellin,J Avenue. He noted Council previously adopted a motion to restrict parking on the west side of North Snellin,J and this will supercede that motion. Malone indicated his preference would be to ban parking on the west side of the street, to aCClCl1ll11Odate patrons of the park and allow residents to park in front of their hanes. He E!}(!llained the purpose for refe:rencin,J this matter in the minutes is to make residents aware the parking restriction may be changed to the west side in the future.
