<br />Minutes of the Arden Hills Regular Council Meeting, 6-24-91 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />SI\FEI'Y (Cont'd) Counci1members concurred with the recommendations to <br />request restripin,J of County Road F, identification of <br />roadway easements and tri.n1m:in:J foliage to maintain a clear site line for <br />motorists, and contactin,J Moun::ls view School to request an educational progJ:aln <br />for students relatin,J to the safety issues. <br /> <br />Mayor Sather suggested a coordinated effort between City staff, Ramsey County <br />Engineerin,J and Sheriff's Deparbnent and Moun::ls view School Officials be planned <br />for fall to aocamplish the items as recommended. <br /> <br />A resident suggested that if Council determines the stop signs should be renoved <br />fram Valentine Avenue, another traffic study be corx:iucted to detennine if removal <br />of the signs helps to reduce problems in the area. <br /> <br />Public Works SUpervisor Winkel reported the stop signs on Valentine Avenue are <br />replaced on a =ntinuous basis. <br /> <br />Mayor Sather asked if Ramsey County needs a fonnal request fram the city for <br />restripin,J County Road F. <br /> <br />Engineer Dan Solar irxlicated a copy of the Council minutes outlining the request <br />for restripin,J would be sufficient for the County purposes. <br /> <br />Council thanked Ramsey County representatives and residents for attending the <br />meetin,J . <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ADOPl' <br />AGElIDA <br /> <br />Malone moved, seconded by Growe, to adopt the June 24 <br />Agenda as subnitted. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />Council1nember Malone requested the followin,J amendments <br />to the June 3 and 17 Council minutes: <br /> <br />APPROVE <br />MINUI'ES <br /> <br />6/3/91: <br />6/3/91: <br /> <br />Page 2, paragraph 3: to read "... three streets in the area were <br />measured; McClurg, Briarknoll and Royal Hills, and...." <br />Page 2, paragraph 8, second sentence: Change to read "four years" <br />rather than "forty years". <br />'lWo minor =rrections: Page 1, under City Ia:Jo: "Council =ncurred <br />to use "recycled" paper, rather than "recyclable". Page 2, under <br />Assessment Hearin,J: Council1nember "Mahowald" questioned, rather <br />than Council1nember "Malone". <br /> <br />6-17-91: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Malone moved, seconded by Growe, to approve the Council <br />Minutes of June 3 Special and June 17 Worksession meetin,J, as amended, and June <br />10 Regular meetin,J as subnitted. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />o:::>NSENI' Council1nember Malone carnmented on item 4 (d), under the <br />CALENDAR Consent CalenJar, relatin,J to the parking ban on North <br />Snellin,J Avenue. He noted Council previously adopted a <br />motion to restrict parking on the west side of North Snellin,J and this will <br />supercede that motion. Malone indicated his preference would be to ban parking on <br />the west side of the street, to aCClCl1ll11Odate patrons of the park and allow <br />residents to park in front of their hanes. He E!}(!llained the purpose for <br />refe:rencin,J this matter in the minutes is to make residents aware the parking <br />restriction may be changed to the west side in the future. <br />
